  1. For me, that wasn't a red card (and I am a Forest fan). It was cynical for certain and has the potential to possibly cause injury to the running player if they land badly, but it wasn't 'violent' in the way a scything knee-high tackle definitely is. Admittedly, I grew up watching football in the 1980s (and that probably would have been a 'talking to' if a first offence in those days), so perhaps I'm now old-fashioned and the game in the 2020s demands that a cynical trip is a red card? As for the game, pretty scappy and even Stevens.

  2. Another example of inconsistent referees….last week at Notts v Barrow had a similar scenario of Jones being fouled the very same way……Barrow guy got a yellow……all referees read the same rule book right?

  3. Honestly im not being sexist but why cant women ref stick with women football and men refs with men football they aren't making the var and ref problems in prem any better

  4. As a neutral in all my years of watching football that has always been given as a 'tactical yellow'. Consistently, does this mean they will all be reds from now on?
