  1. Partey would have been swapped or sold with another player in the last summer or this January transfer window. The lack of proactive mindset of Arteta is a big factor why he's still here

  2. Respect to you Tom for pushing the womens team, I've followed them since 1987, just wish Jen had stuck around until the end of the season and help the girls to what looks like realistic success this year ..

  3. If saka was in the academy now, I can't imagine mikel giving him min, he would be on loan at union Berlin. Arteta doesn't trust youth like other managers and uses excuses like they're not ready, they never will be if you don't play them lol

  4. Kept my mouth shut regarding Partey when everyone have been eagerly waiting his return. I’ll be honest to say I’m not as dismayed as most. Let’s hope he’s back sooner rather than later.

  5. The Partey news is a huge blow ngl but the positive side is that it could give ESR more minutes in our midfield. This is great as he still has years ahead (compared to TP5) hopefully he can remain injury-free for the rest of this season. #COYG 🔴⚪️

  6. I have to say im a little annoyed about this issue with partey. I dont feel the club have been v forthcoming with the details of his injury. It was quoted that he had a muscle injury a thigh injury at the start of the season which kept him out for months. Thats more than a thigh injury. I dont think the lack of information has helped. I get that we are not going to get all the info but to say to fans he has a thigh muscular injury at the start of the season suggests its four to six weeks. Then for him not to even start training for five months and no new information on the type of injury he has wether he needed or needs surgery. I find it as clear as mud. My point is i cant help but feel this injury was much more than a muscle injury and we as fans were not privvy to it for what ever reason. I hope the club can be a little less economical with the truth on such things in the future. He is a really inportant player for us so its difficult for me to understand why the club hasnt helped us as fans to understand.

  7. Worth pointing out that MA didn't say our young players are not good enough to play for us, he said some are nearly ready but need more, so it's not about their quality it's about their development paths. Next year and the year after I think we could see a couple of young players playing in the PL and given the minutes.

  8. If heard a lot about Arteta not giving youth a chance. Unfortunately apart from Nwaneri there isnt anyone even close to being ready. I watch a lot of youth football. In the champions league youth ganes we were miles of our opponents especially sevilla. Given sevilla financial difficulties and low league position yet nonee of that team that were outstanding against us in both games are anywhere near the first team. Yet it was a real eye opener to see how physically stronger technically better quicker decision making all aspects of both games they were streets ahead of us. I cant help but think people eirher put our youth players on a pedestal or dont watch youth football enough and there are always people who use any excuse to batter Arteta with everyrhing they can . That being said the loan system needs to improve we need our youth players going to clubs where they are guaranteed lots of playing time which is the only way thay will improve and learn technically and physically to the level where they have a chance to be ready, but even then its a chance not guaranteed. It would be amazing to have a zaire emre but we dont. If a youth player is making mistakes at youth level which is fine and expected what makes some of our fans think they are ready to play against experienced premier league players.

  9. Tom, Cedric has no plans to leave Arsenal b4 his contact expired. No other Club is willing to pay the wages he earns at Arsenal, so he not leaving until the summer.

  10. I fully expected Partey to come back but get reinjured so not surprised by the news. What really makes this worse is that Timber should have been the one who would have come into the team and can do what Partey does. It's why Timbers injury was such bad news for Arsenal. He isnt just a defender but some weird hybrid defender/midfielder
