  1. in my opinion he's still the 2nd greatest MIDFIELDER to play in PL after gerrad by you never know if he stay away from injuries he can be the best but its a fact he's the most threatening player for opposition CAN SHOOT CAN CROSS and make a goal outta DEAD BALL

  2. I don’t think people disregard KDB’s ability, I think people just don’t rate city because they’re not a “legacy club”. They’re too good and people don’t like them so whatever Kevin does isn’t as rated by association. If he played for a traditional top 4 club like Chelsea (I miss him every day,Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal people would already give him prem goat status

  3. Based on pure efficiency , De Bruyne is the best pl midfielder of the last 10 years, maybe even all time . He is like a sniper on the ball . Grat pass , amezing long shot and an unmatched vision . We all should appreciate him as the best pl midfielder of his generation and probably the best midfielder in the last 5 years .

  4. OZIL had 54 assists for his 3 seasons in spain. then had 19 assists for arsenal in 2016, playing behind non-scoring Giroud/Welbeck.

u say KDB underrated? Ozil is the most underrated midfielder of this century.

  5. Similar to Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne went from premier league reject to the best player in the league and you can argue that he’s the greatest midfielder to ever play in the premier league. With all due respect to Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard they’re amazing players, but what Kevin De Bruyne has done for Manchester City in the last 6-7 years not only has he been pivotal to their dominance, he’s been their best player the talisman, a guy who has stepped up for them time and time again in decisive moments whenever it’s in the premier league or champions league yet people take his greatness for granted and it’s baffling.

He had to come from adversity because when he was signed from Manchester City in 2015, the only thing people talked about was the fact that he was a “premier league” reject ignoring his excellent stint for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, where he was unstoppable won the DFB Pokal and had 20+ assists in the league. At Manchester City the rest is history for him, whether it’s individual awards team trophies big game performances how consistent he’s been goals+assists the eye test etc, he has been one of the best players in the world in recent years and has dominated the premier league year after year. As a midfielder he has it all, the vision passing technique crossing chances created goals incredible long shots that’s what made him so good and from watching him it was obvious that he was the real deal. He’s a player who can pick out a pass out of nothing and that instinct to know where your teammates are and to know what you’ll do when you have the ball you would think that he would play a short pass, but then produces a laser pass and gets an assist. Under Pep Guardiola, he redefined his game, in an era of football in which people think that playmakers don't exist, this guy has shown that we still have number 10s in the game today, you just have to be a more well rounded player in modern football as that's what made him a complete midfielder. Not a lot of midfielders can do what he does and he has done it time and time again. He has put up impressive individual stats in the league, he’s won 2 PFA Player of the Season awards and surprisingly he’s never won premier league player of the month, throughout a season he is very consistent and his performances never drop off. I know he’s a little injury prone and his availability that hurts him when we have this conversation on who’s the greatest premier league midfielder ever, when fit he showed no signs of slowing down and he kept getting the goals and assists at a consistent level. Manchester City are such an elite team that even when KDB has some periods where he’s out injured, it doesn’t stop them from winning trophies they won a premier league title without him, when he’s on the field, they’re much more unstoppable and anyone who’s watched this team in the past couple of years know that Kevin De Bruyne is Manchester City’s best player and still is even though Haaland is scoring a lot of goals.

  6. A big reason as to why Kevin De Bruyne sometimes doesn’t get the respect that he deserves despite being one of the best players in the world and an all time great midfielder is he plays on Manchester City.

From a footballing perspective, they keep growing and they’re an elite team, their fanbase is good but it’s still rising and they don’t have that same sort of fan support as clubs like Liverpool Real Madrid Barcelona Arsenal Bayern Munich or Manchester United. Just imagine if he played on a club that had a more passionate fanbase, the guy doesn’t need PR to play well on the field as he lets his performances do the talking and that should boost his status in football.

  7. Kevin De Bruyne has been impressive at Manchester City, but he also has that tendency to pick up injuries. That is something that is taken in consideration when comparing him to Frank Lampard Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes. He’s been unlucky because it can happen to players, but in a season he has some periods where he misses games despite the fact that he’s always producing when he’s fit.

  8. There’s a reason why this team won 5 premier league titles in 6 years and he was vital in their treble win last season despite being overshadowed by Erling Haaland. When people watch him in the next couple of years in his peak, they would wonder why he never won a Ballon Dor in his career and many people will also ask this question on how Belgium with Kevin De Bruyne couldn’t win an international trophy despite having the premier league’s best player and a star studded team. That can also hurt him his lack of international success that shouldn’t take away from what he achieved at club level even if he came up short with the Belgium national team on a couple of occasions and that led to people saying that he bottles it in big games. Against Real Madrid Barcelona Liverpool Chelsea Atletico Madrid PSG Bayern Munich Manchester United Tottenham Arsenal etc, we’ve seen moments where he has destroyed some of the best teams in the world and he is also one of the best big games players in the world as he always shows up when the lights are the brightest in the premier league and champions league and some people think that he does nothing in big games.

After being out of action for 5 months, what he did to Newcastle United especially when his team was down 2-1, off the bench after 20 minutes got a goal and an assist to win the game for Manchester City and keep them in the title race and without being at their best, his return from injury gives them a boost in the title race and they might actually go on to defend the 3 trophies that they won and KDB is game changing a difference maker. Kevin De Bruyne is elite and Manchester City are too good and you can even make an argument that in the last couple of years, they’ve turned the premier league into a farmers league because with him back fully fit no one is stopping them from going on their traditional winning streak and Man City wins the premier league again this season that’s 6 league titles in 7 years and a 4peat of premier league titles and last time I checked, we see this from Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga every season and I know Liverpool have pushed them all the way to some thrilling title races that have been decided on the final game of the season, the reality is that Manchester City are dominating the “most competitive league in the world” and it has become a farmers league and have made football a little boring because they’re too good and everyone is tired of winning the premier league every year. With him 32 baring any injury, I see him playing at an elite level for 4-5 more years and since he has a prolific goalscorer in Erling Haaland who just cannot stop scoring, Kevin De Bruyne’s assist numbers will inflate even further and let’s see what more he has to offer for us because what he produces is jaw dropping.

  9. Since 2018 Mohamed Salah and/or Kevin De Bruyne have been the best player in the Premier League. Not to mention that not too long ago, they were seen as “premier league rejects” after their failed stints at Chelsea and have dominated the Premier League and have gone from strength to strength with Liverpool and Manchester City respectively contributing to their domestic and European success winning every available trophy in the Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola era while being the best players on their respective teams. Both players are all about preference de Bruyne is a playmaker who gets loads of assists, Salah is a winger who plays very wide yet scores loads of goals but who would you prefer Mohamed Salah or Kevin De Bruyne.

  10. Consistency is everything to be up there and kdb already proved that. He definitely in the same conversation as gerrard, lampard, scholes , Keane viera and you should put toure too. When you comparing Gerrard best stats Gerrard had plenty double digit goals per season and many of them came in clutch time. He scored in all finals fa, league cup, ucl and Eula cup. Among these great midfielders he is the only one who majority of his career surrounded by average players compared to others. That because of bad ownership. He literally carried Liverpool. You give gerrard these quality players that the other midfielders had Gerrard stats could even higher . Just my opinion

  11. people only understand the value of something and I'm sure when finally de bryune hangs his boots is when people understand how good they had it and according to me he is cannot be replaced in the prem best players of all times

  12. I think people forget about him because he is too consistent.. He is never "in form" because his "regular" form so to speak is always ridiculously good.
