  1. Alonso is the obvious choice and I think he’ll flop. Id go with the super unpopular choice of Mourinho, who with an ambitious and professional group of players and board backing would keep the team challenging for a couple of seasons until a more proven long term replacement can be found.

  2. Pep Lijnders. We are missing a trick not keeping him. Supposedly he had a bust up with someone at the academy so looks like that's why he's not being considered because he's a name a lot of Liverpool fans have also mentioned. He often advises Klopp about tactics and which subs to consider, he's clever. If he doesn't work out could Klopp return after his break? Alonso no thanks. Too inexperienced and zero personality, I couldn't see him bossing Van Dijk around or inspiring the crowd. He needs at least another year at BL.
