  1. Great video guys. As a Liverpool fan I’d say that Henderson’s technical ability is slightly down played, Klopps system never required for him to show that side of his game too much, he is a better than average passer, his weakness is ball carrying but he was never asked to do that much.
100% the best thing you’re getting is elite leadership and setting top top standards off the field! He is perfect for developing young players, he will not let anyone get away with not doing their job on the field, it is like having another coach on the field…the difference between intensity in the premier league to the Eredivisie will suit Henderson perfectly at this stage of his career!
I think it’s a great signing for you and honestly it’s the kind of move he should have made instead of going to Saudi! He is still an England international, and yes he fell off for Liverpool last season a lot…but so did half the team! So I think he still has 2-3 good seasons left in him!
Will be watching closely to see how he gets on 👊🏼👍🏼

  2. As a Liverpool fan I actually think this is a positive move for Ajax. Henderson will surprise a lot of people as he is very underrated in regards to his technical ability.

  3. Great stream! It managed to be both hilarious (due to Yaiderenko's internet) and genuinely interesting. The new guest was great, diving into questions with such great detail. Entertaining stream. Cheers!

  4. Im stil on cloud 9 that Ajax actually managed to pull this one of. Who cares what the woke brigade in the UK thinks, cause lets face it; it was this demographic who had the biggest issues with him moving to the Saudi league. Our Dutch wokies already had a devastating effect on our club, so lets not bend the knee towards their fellow English activist. We needed an international experienced man (emphasis on man) who operated on the highest levels, and who is able to convey his experience to others. Something most players cant, and to my opinion we hit the jackpot. Who besides his "leadership/role model" qualities also is a player that fits the Ajax school. I got to say that I already have a lot of respect for the gent for the personal financial sacrefices he has made to be able to play for us. Cause lets behonest, we are talking serious money here to just take a cut on. I wasnt planning to buy our molested home shirt this season, but of course now Im going to make an exception. Still a lot has to be done, but I do feel one of our most urgent problems has been solved with his arrival, and it does sends the signal the club is serious about our revival. Although Im sure he also needs a few weeks to settle in and to properly get to know his new teammates, the club and country; Ive got a lot of faith he will make a substantial contribution.

  5. As a replacement for Tahirovic I understand Henderson's signing. He brings bags of experience and leadership. Is he worth his fee? We will have to wait and see.

I hope however that Henderson's signing does not mean that Ajax will be forced to stick to a certain system to facilitate him in the future. Henderson should be complementary to Ajax and not the other way round. I hope that a fit Van den Boomen will still be fit into the team and am curious how Van 't Schip will change his formation to make this possible. Will Taylor or Hlynsson be sacrificed in future?

And for me a question which was not answered in the discussion above, how will Van 't Schip manage 3 'stars'? Schreuder was criticised for not managing Tadic, Blind and to a lesser extent Klaassen. These 'stars' always had to play irrespective of their performances. Van 't Schip does not seem to be any different (in respect to his 'stars': Bergwijn and Berghuis).
