You can't just stick with poor players because you spent over their value on them. You have to admit your errors, take accountability and cut your losses. It isn't like we are talking a couple of poor performances, this guy is sub standard. Just like Ten Hags other genius idea, Antony. Yes, they wasted a shed-load of money but if you keep picking them, you will not challenge for anything significant which is more costly over the long-term.
He looks like out field player playing in goal, his positions, his dives.

Someone answer me this. How was he one of the best keepers in the world last season, no question and then now he’s suddenly rubbish. I think it’s obvious he is better than he is showing for sure.
The one thing that gets me about Onana, like a lot of the rubbish players at Old Trafford do, Dalot being another, is their over-the-top celebrations for goals and pandering to the crowds, fully knowing they know they don't have the ability to play for this great club but thinking if they show that they live and breath for the Club, beat the badge and scream ,that somehow entitles them to play for the Club. Every time I see Onana run up from the opposite side of the field to join in a last minute goal celebrations is cringeworthy to say the least. He might as well get the begging bowl out. The problem is, there's a lot of clueless clowns in the United fanbase that are impressed by this pathetic behaviour and see them as 'committed' to the Club. How about rating players on their ability?!. Onana is nowhere near good enough for this standard of football and should be nowhere near the league anymore, let alone the Club.
He ain't good enough and either is Antony oh along with ETH…

I feel sorry for Onana. He's joined a dysfunctional United side and has been cut no slack from the get-go. Some of the goals he gets blamed for are ridiculously harsh. Italian football is my football and we consider it the heartland for goalkeepers. Onana was near flawless for Inter last season. You don't get signed by Barcelona, Ajax, Inter and Manchester United if you're a technically woeful goalkeeper. Ten Hag needs to get a settled defensive unit and push the team higher up the pitch to bring out Onana's qualities and his confidence. Then we'll see how he really fits in.

Manchester United's expected goals against is 36.87 and they've conceded just 29 which means Onana has effectively been the driving force between saving 7.87 goals to what would be expected.
The only goalkeeper with a better record – and someone else that has gone under the radar – is Kaminski at Luton (48.66 xGA compared to 38 goals actually conceded).
