This is the moment Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden’s mother is kicked out of a nightclub and put in handcuffs after knocking a hat from a fellow partygoer’s head.
She kicked off after bouncers ejected her for a row sparked by her “party trick” of flicking off a man’s cap, a court heard. After she grabbed a baseball cap from Paul Shortman, 42, and it dropped on the floor, she then swung an arm towards him and was asked to leave the venue.
Claire Rowlands, 44, was put in cuffs after she was thrown out of Bentley’s nightclub in Towyn, Wales, on September 9, hours after her son came off the bench to play for England in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
The 52-second clip, shown in court, shows Rowlands aggressively confronting police officers who were called to the scene.
Challenging the officers, she says: ‘Go on then, what’ve I done? Don’t come into my face unless you’ve got evidence.’
Another friend says: ‘No, she’s coming home with me’ as officers say: ‘She’s staying with us for a minute.’
