The Africa Cup of Nations group stage has been an exciting journey so far, with plenty of goals, several surprise results, and numerous outstanding performances. The 2023 Asian Cup is heading into its final matchday of the group stages and, thanks to 16 of its 24 competing nations qualifying for the knockouts, most nations involved still have plenty to play for heading into their final fixtures.

  1. Kaka was a special talent he is more athletic in the sense that the guy had lighting pace, but KDB is the result and product of every other midfielder before him he is the invictus.

  2. Idk what modric has over kdb because both didnt win WC or Euros. Modric took crotia to the WC finals, kdb took belgium to WC semi – finals. Only thing modric has over kdb is the champions leagues. Kdb carried city to their first champions league with the goal against madrid, imo if that doesnt go in, madrid beat city at the ethiad. Kdb is just so consistent just like Amir said and thats why his never rated, he has everything all the top table midfielders have so idk his not part of the best. Idk what more he has to do he scores against every big team, he has the best assist – game ratio. Has most chances created. Just hating atp

  3. This is gonna be long because I have a lot to say about AFCON. Maybe I miss understood what The Truth said, but I disagree with "the quality is good but there are no fans". In fact I think it's the opposite. Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal and even local Ivorians have been showing up for games. There hasn't been this many fans showing up to AFCON in a long time. However African football doesn't change, even if countries have players playing in Europe or even the Champions League. AFCON reverts them back to default settings πŸ˜‚. Most teams are playing to take shots from distance. The Ivory Coast vs Nigeria game epitomized that. This was supposed to be a game between two African giants and instead it was teams taking 35-40 yard shots and seeing who could score. Combined they took 25 shots and only 4 were on target. When only 16% of shots are on target, it makes the game boring. In fact Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon and Algeria all have shot on goal percentages of below 25% in the tournament. For comparison in Liverpool's last 3 league games they have a shot on goal percentage of almost 50%. I'm not trying to say African teams should be like Liverpool, but the drop in quality is noticeable. As for Tunisia, Ghana, Morocco they have better percentages but they don't create. Apart from Tunisia's goal against Mali they have literally created nothing, especially in the Namibia game. Kudus was Ghana's only bright light in this tournament (IΓ±aki Williams and the Ayew brothers have been non factors) and I think people overestimate Morocco's playmaking ability. They're a good team, but people don't seem to realize that it was a solid defense that made them good at the World Cup not their attack. Once they get their goal they sit back. Senegal haven't shown any signs of weakness and are my picks to win AFCON, but I don't really rate either of the teams they've played (and this is coming from a Cameroonian). To conclude I'd like to say that I agree with the guy who said there are too many teams in AFCON. It's hard to see the prestige in a tournament when nearly half the teams eligible qualify for the final tournament. I also liked the 16 team format better. You didn't have to worry as much about "the four best third place teams" and adding the Round of 16 which to me is unnecessary. Then again we're seeing a lot of small teams putting up a good fight so I could be wrong.

  4. I also hate to be that guy (I'm lying I love being this guy) but Drogba and Muntari have never won an AFCON. Drogba retired in 2014 after the World Cup and Ivory Coast won AFCON in 2015. He's been to two finals and missed a penalty in both. He missed a penalty in a shootout in 2006 against Egypt and he missed in regular time in 2012 against Zambia. As for Muntari, Ghana haven't won an AFCON since 1982. In fact it's a joke in Cameroon about how Ghana won their 4th AFCON before we won our first and yet now we have more AFCON trophies than them. Also as for Asian teams vs African teams. Asian teams and African teams are very evenly matched at World Cups. (Ghana have beaten South Korea, Australia have beaten Tunisia), but African teams are more known because African teams have a better record against Europe than Asian teams do.

  5. Please do challenges boys!!! That would be amazing. Btw congrats Azam on your marriage πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰β€β€. So happy to see you all back except that arsenal fan πŸ˜‚. EPL ROUNDUPPPP WEVE MISSED IT. Looking forward to the show being back πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

  6. The epl eoundup should comeback, i agree with expanding the rosetr or even sometimes it can just be four people as long as they know ball. It would be interesting to see you guys play in real life.

  7. The De Bruyne glazing is too much πŸ˜…. KDB not even greatest PL midfielder, that title belongs to Scholes and Roy Keane. Plus KDB didn’t do anything internationally except for a goal vs Brazil at the WC.

KDB < Fabregas < David Silva < Vieira < Scholes, Roy Keane.
