Nicolás Alejandro Tagliafico (Spanish Nicolás Alejandro Tagliafico; born August 31, 1992, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer, defender of the Ajax club and the Argentine national team. Participant of the 2018 World Cup.

Tagliafico began his career at the Banfield Club. On March 12, 2011, in a match against Tigre, he made his debut in the Argentinean Example. On April 22, 2012, in a duel against San Lorenzo, Nicholas scored his first goal for Banfield.

In the summer of 2013, Tagliafico went on loan to Spanish Murcia. On September 15, in a match against Mirandes, he made his debut in the Spanish Segunda. After the lease ended, Nicholas returned to Banfield and helped the club return to the elite.

At the beginning of 2015, Tagliafico moved to Independiente. The transfer amount was 1.8 million euros. On February 15, in a match against Newells Old Boys, he made his debut for the new team. On October 5, against River Plate, Nicholas scored his first goal for Independiente. In 2017, he helped the club win the South American Cup.

At the beginning of 2018, Tagliafico moved to Ajax Amsterdam, signing a contract for 4.5 years. On January 21, in a match against Feyenoord, he made his debut in the Eredivisie. On 11 March, against Heerenveen, Nicholas scored his first goal for Ajax. On September 19, in the Champions League match against the Greek AEK, he scored a “double”.
