  1. Not saying Matt turner has had a perfect season as he hasn’t but when looking at Goal Keeper stats, xG differential isn’t really the key . xGoT differential is a much better representation of what should be stopped (expected goals on target). This is the stat used to determine how likely a goal is after the ball is struck, instead of the probability of going in based on where the ball is struck from. I have no idea what this difference is for Turner but when talking about goal keepers, this is a much better judge of shot stopping ability. For example, Tim Weah’s incredible goal vs Salernitana had an xG of 0.09, but I’d venture to say no goalie in the world would have stopped that shot.

  2. Real Beits defense not that great and they probably could’ve won the game, because Barcelona are not even that great and they were at home but I hope to see more from Johnny 🇧🇷🇺🇸
even though I may be not a Usmnt fan but I do watch them sometimes

  3. Yeah, you can diss Turner on the Toney free kick, but on the other hand the guy did cheat and that second move of the ball, done when Turner had shifted the right and couldn’t see it, was THE move that made the curling ball possible. Sometimes the wall guys have to take charge too. Finally, I am all for the analytics for field players and goal keepers, but what the goal keeper stats don’t do is (1) account for defensive lapses that really are the key driver of the score and (2) take into account the great saves that allow the team to stay in the game. One the Maghales goal remember the guy is 6’3’ and probably has a 42 inch vertical leap Look at the pic when he scored. Yikes. He is an otherworldly athlete and Chris Richards for all his virtues, isn’t.

  4. Berhalter is always in a "rebuilding" mode or "trying something different" mode. But with no success.
The Japanese men's coach said something about rebuilding too, but what he added more was that in trying something new, he's using different styles of playing and coaching that had made other teams successful.
If you can't play ginga football like the Brazilians, or Criollo football like the Argentinians or be technically sound as the French, or develop a strong midfield as the Croatians, at least, emulate them the best you can.
Not every team has a Neymar or Messi or Mbappé, or Ronaldo, or Saka etc., but they're successful nonetheless because the coaches know how to use the players' talents and and also because the coaches study their opponents before a game.

  5. I was just thinking earlier in their match that Wes's teammates aught to be working to help him get his 1st, after the amazing assists he's been serving up. And then this! I really can't see how Vlahović didn't know it was going in. So to me, he really was a bit of a pr1ck for poaching that goal from a teammate who has served him up often enough 😏

Anyway, Wes seemed more amused than pissed fortunately.

  6. That ball was definitely going in from mckennie, I was mad for him. I thought there was an unspoken understanding not to steal goals from your teammates, maybe vlahovic didn't think it was going in but he didn't celebrate with mckennie, mckennie celebrated with him because Weston is a team player and a class act

  7. Pulisic had to come up field to receive the ball and he did a good job at maintaining possession. To bad he had to do that because that meant he was far from goal.

  8. Turner is just a shot stopper with no feet and questionable decision making.. His ceiling was never high to begin with I think we gaslighted ourselves thinking he was gonna be great.

  9. anybody else upset that the american players on fifa always get trash ratings while english players and more get 80 overalls and dont start
