Jurgen Klopp Liverpool Eyeing Morocco Midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. Several Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing Sofyan Amrabat– Morocco’s professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Fiorentina.

Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg tweeted “I have been told that many clubs from the Premier League are observing him [Amrabat], especially Liverpool F.C (next to Bellingham & Caicedo).

In the wake of his outstanding performance during Morocco’s three matches against Croatia, Belgium and Canada. Sofyan Amrabat reportedly averaged “2.0 tackles, 1.7 interceptions and 1.7 clearances for his side.”

The midfielder excels at ball distribution, having completed “88.7% of his passes.”

The 26 year old footballer was born in the Netherlands to Moroccan parents, where he rose through the ranks of the FC Utrecht academy before joining Rotterdam-based Feyenoord FC. Originally seen primarily as a light-footed highly technical player, Amrabat worked hard to become the physical midfielder he now is for Morocco and Fiorentina..

In 2010, he represented the Netherlands before making his debut for the Moroccan national football team in a 1-0 friendly win against Tunisia in 2017.

Amrabat joined Fiorentina in January 2020, and his contract is set to expire in June 2024.
