A brief synopsis of the events today at Vitality Stadium after Luton Town stalwart Tom Lockyer was taken off the pitch due to suffering a cardiac arrest, one which naturally led to the suspension of the Bournemouth vs Luton clash.

Luton have confirmed that Tom was responsive by the time he left the pitch. He received further treatment at the stadium.

He is currently undergoing further tests at hospital with family at his bedside. He is in a stable condition.

  1. Just announced by Peter Drury on NBC here in the US that Tom Lockyer did suffer a cardiac arrest. Hope he makes a full recovery and thoughts with him and his family as well as Luton Town and their players and fans.

  2. Life first, I feel both clubs should just plead for a 1.1 draw. Was a very heartfelt moment watching the players and staff from both clubs clap the fans in the end. Best wishes to Tom and luton town.

  3. Amazing human response from everyone 👏 amazing support hope he gets better soon

P.s what happens to the fixture also what happens for tickets and trains etc for refunds and people have work how do they get to come to next match?? Any comments appreciated 😮

  4. He also collapsed in 27 May 2023 (6 months ago), during Championship' play off. Luton playing with fire and Tom toying with his own life for not considering retirement. For example, Manchester United closely monitoring Eriksen condition everyday. From the player view point, Sergio Aguero decide to end his footballer career when he still have like 2~4 years.

  5. Bournemouth as a club, players and fans, were class today. All Hatters fans thank and respect you for that.
Best wishes to Locks, we're all with you 🧡

  6. Question from a neutral- does anyone else think this smacks a bit of medical negligence? In the previous 8 months he’s suffered a cardiac arrest, had heart surgery, and professional medicals think he’s ok to put his body under the same strain again? Seems like it was half inevitable to me, should have called it a day after the play off final. Wishing the speediest recovery to Tom and thoughts with his family and the Luton fans from LUFC

  7. Well done every body at vitality today the response for Tom Lockyer was first class.God bless you Tom Lockyer and your family and friends and of course Luton and their supporters. So glad to hear that he is responding. From cherries supporter.

  8. The football is irrelevant today. Respect to Phil Bill who noticed immediately how serious it was and was calling for the medics straight away. Huge respect to both medical teams, they were amazing. Love to all our friends from Luton, proper club & great fans. Not how we wanted the TinpotDerby to go. Wishing Tom a full and speedy recovery. Thoughts with him & his loved ones.

  9. thank the lord for the experimental jabs 👍🐑oh no it won’t be that will it ??was it climate change??strange how excess deaths have risen 300% since 2021 ?I wander what was rolled out then ,,deny all you want ,I person know 7 dead after these jabs and 2 in the last 3 week with heart probs ,,explain why us 23m unjabbed are fine yet the only ones sick took the experiment 🧪,,I will wait 🐑arteta out 💯

  10. Luton Fan and subscriber. Such a sad moment for Locks and the whole squad. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family The highest respect goes to your team and your fans. Although we are foes on the pitch , the care shown for a fellow footballer are who all fans should be #prayforlocks #COYH # Upthecherries 🙏⚽️

  11. Luton fan here, you are all a credit to your club fantastic human beings every last one of you. From Phillip Billing, to your manager to all your fans thanks for your support and care today❤

  12. Jeez it was odd looking in at 3am in Sydney. i felt for the spectators (who the camera was scanning around) but mostly for the player, his family and the coach who seemed to be caring. Good that the medical people were on hand.

  13. Everton fans are thought prayers with Tom Lockyer & family & Luton town FC …

    Hail, Mary, full of grace,
    the Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
    Holy Mary, Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
    Amen.

  14. Great work by surrounding players and medics with quick reactions. Hope Toms ok, wish him all the best.
Scary these incidents have become far too common now with no real investigation or questions being asked.

  15.
