  1. Answer is rotation with Bruno, No point in trying to shoe horn him into the side. Most balanced midfield trio right now is case 6, mainoo who could operate as 8 and Bruno 10. We will need to invest in a 6 and 8 for rotation, comp and extra quality

  2. The problem with the whole Mount situation is that we paid 60M for a Swiss army knife- a high level utility player, when we don't have confirmed specialists in key positions esp in midfield and we haven't solidified whatever playing style or identitty we want to express. Then there's the fact that he had an injury-riddled last season with his prev club with whom he had only a year left.

  3. The role which he played for Chelsea in 21/22. He was absolutely brilliant that season. What we need now is a box to box midfielder. Mount has the attributes to be that, good on the ball, can carry it, can pick a pass and really good presser off the ball. Obvious weakness is physicality. Hence, all the heavy defensive "dirty" work falls on the shoulders of Casemiro.
Genuinely think there is a good player in there but no use in asking him to do a thing which he hasn't done previously.
Henceforth, we should always look in which system a player thrives before signing him. We got it wrong with Sancho and Antony, as they obviously aren't terrible players.

  4. Bruno – average in possession, poor out of possession
McTominay – poor in possession, poor out of possession
Casemiro – poor in possession, average out of possession
Mount – average in possession, poor out of possession
Eriksen – good in possession, poor out of possession
Mainoo – average in possession, average out of possession

With the exception of 1 Mainoo, all the midfielders at this club are rubbish.

  5. Someone who could help this is kossounou, as he can play inverted fullback or be in a back 3 with martinez being a libero to control the midfield (which has been the problem when playing both mount and bruno). he can easily defend wide spaces and is very physical. havent watched simakan, but i think he's similar to him as you refer to him in many videos. if we can get an FB as versatile like him, then we should also get a cm who mainoo can be understudy of. (very ideal scenario for man utd so likely not gonna happen). would love everyone to stop calling him a flop when he only played 12 games, hasnt been impressive but too soon to judge

  6. Well generally a player's best position for a club is their best position as a player.

I'm not sure where the attributes linking him to a wing back come from. He's got no pace and plays on the half turn not facing forward…

I'd like him in a deep lying 8, dropping off from a front 3 to get involved or as an inside forward working in around a number 9 personally.

Mason Mount is a half space (and half turn) player I reckon, which you go on to say!

  7. In my opinion, he should play as a no.10/Cam or no.7/Rw. Not that he can't contribute defensively but i think he's best suited there.
Then bruno should play as a no.8, since he's better defensively and if we sign youssouf fofana, he should play as a no.6 to complete the midfield trio.

  8. The problem with that is that isn't ever being used.l personally wouldn't use such a system,u,ll take out any pace in our rw as amad ain't fast, defensively we,ll look suspect and mount,s only elite attribute on the ball is his crossing from the left half space and well that,s gone.Sometimes you have to agree a signing just ain't it and cut your losses when it still has value coz if another coach comes in,he,ll be a rotational option but the problem is to who coz the one playing above him never gets injured and he doesn't have the creative, goal scoring or anything whatsoever to take his place and you factor in the fact he,s now been injured for the majority of his this and last season and there,s no saving this

  9. he didnt even play that much this season bcause of injury. abit too early to talk about his best role for utd. that being said i think his best role is CM in a 4-3-3 formation, alongside bruno.

  10. I think he’s very good but this team like ten hag said, aren’t even playing like Ajax and can’t play like them… mason mount was bought to play in that system… not in this current system ten hag is forced to play

  11. I don't really understand why ETH can't get more out of Mount (definitely a huge flop), but he certainly doesn't look like the leader type and that individual to take matters into his own hands. What I wanted to see in ball carrying (as Bruno doesn't do that!) has been next to nothing. We've seen some good 2nd defending and pressing, but similar forward runs to Donny and therefore hardly involved in possession (70-75% pass completion not good enough). I get the idea of an attacking no.8 if we play a high line (which we apparently only will do with Martinez available). He doesn't have that outstanding pace to be a winger, agree that diamond formation probably would be good for him if the CAM (Bruno) isn't too eager to take the runs into the channels and the strikers not being afraid to step out for underlaps. Patience to arrive late is needed for him but also the manager, always looks like no.8 and no.10 instructed to step up and help striker immediately.. not enough muscle to do that effectively. Instead of working perfectly no matter formation and role, for an all-rounded utility player Mount is more of a luxury than anything else. If our wingers were more creative he could've been CAM, again he's lacking creativity to compete with Bruno for that spot (with Amad RW he'd also thrive more I think). Getting a few goals like McTominay and that might be another story, yet it feels more like another Mata problem – a great player who doesn't really fit in.

Considering he's earning 250k/wk it won't do with his performances and injuries so far, they gotta be at 21/22 season or he won't be United player very long. Really can't be bench/rotation at that salary.

  12. Old Trafford is falling down, Ten Hag is a f-ing clown, Glazers staying 10 more years, Man City are on the beers
    L for l o s e r. Ten Haag is at the wheel.
