Well Canelo ran through him like it was nothing back in the day, so yeah Callum Smith was never the best to begin with.

Dude took a beating. Went up against a modern day neandertal caveman.
Obviously most people thought that Callum would lose, but Callums double left hook to the head was great. He shouldn't retire just yet. As for Arthur, yeah hes a bulldozer, too much power and grit.
Still, one of the best fighters to come out of the UK. He has done it all and losing to Canelo and Beterbiev is no great shame.
To see this shows just how good Artur Beterbiev is a one-off. Callum I rated as pound for pound until Canelo(who is very special as well)
All I can say is all the best to a superb boxer and his family, no matter what his path is. God bless Callum.
