The faรงade of Everton Stadium is set to be transformed by barrel cladding that forms the iconic curved edges of the roof.

The first perforated, polished aluminium panels will be secured onto the north eastern edge of the stadium next week, following successful engineering safety trials designed to assess the impact of wind.

That will signal the beginning of the roll-out of the roof transformation, extending along the entire lengths of the east and west stands, aided by a mechanical crane attachment which can manipulate the sections into various positions.

Work to clad the roof edges follows the completion of steelwork and the ongoing installation of outer roof sections to form a watertight outer shell and accelerate the internal fit-out.

Internally, the rooms and spaces within the two main stands are already evolving, while within the stadium bowl the first concrete rakers have been installed in the lower tier of the east stand, which is the final stand yet to be infilled to ground level

The 1,250 LED panels that make up the giant screen in the south stand are currently being pieced together, to mirror the screen already erected in the north stand.

Everton Stadium has one year remaining of the planned three-year build, ahead of its scheduled completion in December, 2024.

  1. i will miss Goodison Park, The first jersey my father bought me was an Everton jersey. I watched the Arsenal match at Gudison Park years ago. It was amazing, I can never forget that atmosphere. Cheers from Galatasaray fan

  2. It's good to get some shots from ground level. But I think you could do a lot more by way of explaining what's being done, instead we find we have to speculate on all the developments…

  3. That's a great video because we see lots of drone footage by guys who can't get up close to see finer details & of course the inside developments – the club really need to do more of these over the coming months – one of the shots from inside gave me an insight as to how vast the stadium is, looking up to the far south-west corner .

  4. The attention to detail is fantastic. I love how the builders and architects have been sensitive to the surroundings and have incorporated traditional style and craftsmanship into a new structure.

  5. Arsenal fan here, the Everton stadium really looks superb. So beautiful. Won't miss Goodison as it is always our bogey ground and the away stand view is horrible. Can't wait to visit this, hope you guys stay up.
