Love this – Hojbjerg, to me, is my favorite representative of the biggest value of sport for young people growing up – holding yourself accountable, being intense and unrelenting and learning to push yourslef, being selfless and doing what's best for the team. He's undoubtedly a great player, and I was always impressed by his mentality during the Mourinho and Conte years, but I'd guess this situation is the biggest challenge of the last few years and the way he's handled it speaks so well of him as a person.
Ange has complimented him plenty of times and think he’s happy for him to stay – but under ange system he’s only ever gonna be a squad player and he wants to play more often and why will leave in summer – may leave in jan but that’s relying on us having replacement line up and a club that wants him paying the transfer fee we wabt
He had an awful game. Honestly.
Spurs have won 1 game all season that Hojbjerg has started.
❤ For Hojbjerg piece
Hojbjerg don’t good for the team
He’s a solid player. Will flourish with a team that he fits in. Respect the professionalism, he does what he can under current system
PEH is an absolute rock. He's had some clutch performances at Spurs, in addition to his dogged consistency. Great player and I'd hate to see him go, but he deserves to be in a starting 11 under a system that suits him.
He's a great defensive player but needs a Conte/Jose system to thrive. Absolute top pro.
Thanks for recognising Hojbjerg! 😊Compared to previous seasons, Spurs play more creatively and because he’s not a flair player he’s less noticed. But watching some of his passes on a good day, you’ll see he’s truly under appreciated at Spurs! I’m a Spurs fan and have picked him as my fav player since he came in because he’s very consistent, always ups the game in midfield when he comes in, and if he leaves we’ll have a big gap to fill — bigger than when Eriksen left, who’s also Danish btw.😢
👍 agree
Good shout! People who don't like him always think of his role as an 8. But they misunderstand him – he is a 6. (Already the least appreciated role. Put on top of that, that people often misunderstand him)
So underrated I think he’s growing on Ange by earning his trust through his professional attitude and good performances hopefully if we qualify for Europe he will get more games next season as we’ll need a bigger squad. Always looks a threat when he comes on big fan of he’s.
Couldn’t agreed more. Thanks for pointing it out, Rob.
As a Spurs fan, I know he doesn't fit in our system with the way he plays, but when we played for us under Mourinho and Conte, he was the hardest worker on the field. He tries his best when he gets on. He could've not trained properly or just be against the manager, but he doesn't. Will be given a standing ovation when he does leave in his last game because of his professional mentality and his dedication on the pitch. He fits in a team like Roma or Inter where a defensive unit in midfield is often used
A truly underappreciated rock in the midfield.
Hojberg's 1st touch is often clumsy, and does rule him out as being a top player as such, but there is no doubting his commitment to a club, a real club man.
he deserves better..
juve for sure
Him and Ben Davies have been great professionals, obviously fringe players but when picked they’ve gone on with it and played well
Valuable player.
Hard as nails and a reliable professional 💪🏻
Not for sale.
