Just before his ban came into place i thought tonali was just settling in, can’t remember which few games it was but just before the ban started
Toonali i recon never wanted a move , was kicked the fuck out on account of his erm problem thus he will never be the player he was until he gets loaned back to whence he came , all these new super vocal entitled toon fans need to shut the fuck up as well ,most weren't even this vocal under the kebab king .

A few people are saying it and it's true we need that no 6 in in order to establish an actual plan B where we can break up attacks and soak in pressure. Especially if we get a goal up and the clock is running down and for when our players are wrecked doing the press.

Tonali played in serie a, premier league is a harder league with a much faster pace. He’s also new to the team, took Gordon ages to bed in I’d guess it’s the same with Tonali. He was world class at Milan

So if we get Phillips on loan, that's our two domestic loans, right? We'd have to go overseas for additional ones.
7.5 mil for a loan for half a season can either look steep or it can look like 7.5 mil for a door way open in to Europe next season (even if not CL) as the extra depth may be what gets us there. we need that minimum to keep the sponsors happy.

There has never been a more "Eddie Howe player" than Kalvin Phillips. Get the lad on board. Tonali is a class player too, by the way, he just needs time to settle in a new country, learn the language, deal with his shit, and learn the EH way. Remember, in his first half season for us, Gordon was dogshit. I'd slap a bid in for Guirassy, the striker at Stuttgart, who's second in the Bundesliga scoring charts just behind Kane and has a release clause (allegedly) of just £15 million. As for the right wing/forward, I wouldn't be blowing a wad on that position in January, trying to prise players away from clubs that don't want to sell. Honestly, anyone at the club who can look up and use their right foot for more than just standing on can play there: Trippier there with Livramento (or Krath) behind might be a decent option right now, Gordon there and Hall (or Barnes when he's back) on the left, either Joe when fit. Hell, i'd play Karius there right now, lol. Then there's the Saudi thing. There are players that would improve us, sure, but i can't honestly see any of those clubs letting their best players leave halfway through a season.

How many goals has Philips scored, so why buy a player who has no end product? What is he going to add to the team, and would he be match fit no be because he never plays games.
It's a no brainer if he's shit just don't sign him for some reason Lewis hall isn't rated by Eddie so will be surprised if he's signed in the summer

I think KP will surprise you, provided he is fit. He's not glamorous but very effective. You put him in your midfield and you don't concede goals.

Keepers – De Gea on loan for the rest of the season. I don't see him as a long term option, he's not better than Pope and his age is against him.
Lunin from Real Madrid has been touted as a summer addition to the GK ranks with a £15m release clause mooted.
I'd be happy with the De Gea & Philips + a striker. We have most players with goals than any other squad but with the depletion of the quality due to injury we haven't got a guy, like a Kane at Spurs who the club can rely on to score week in week out.
Glad I'm not Dan Ashworth or Eddie Howe right now. They have one hell of a job on their hands over the next 4 – 5 weeks.
