On this Friday edition of The Pivot, Ryan and Channing welcome back Fred from his world travels and tackle some really tough topics. With all that is going on in the world right now, the guys felt it was necessary to sit as a group and have some timely discussions.

The recent release of a photo with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones present during a time of segregation as a teenager sparked a lot of questions but also the need for an important conversation. Ryan leads the discussion saying the photo doesn’t say Jerry is a racist but looking at his track record over the years, what should be more concerning is the lack of him in a position to elevate minorities to a higher positions and hasn’t. Channing chimes in that his close relationships with his players doesn’t mean he’s elevating black people but just points to the fact that he is running a business and putting the best people to help him win.

This past Sunday marked the 15th anniversary of Sean Taylor’s passing and Ryan attended Washington’s memorial unveiling which was not the tribute it should have been or could be as the guys talk about how a player and man of his stature deserves way more.

OBJ watch is still in effect despite recent airline issues causing different type of headlines, the guys discuss making a mountain out of a molehill with the situation and agree teams will not be affected by this citation.

Fred, Channing and Ryan make some late season picks for MVP, Offensive and defensive player of the year and Super Bowl bound teams.

As they talk about the holidays and ups and downs of family gatherings, Ryan shares a heartfelt moment as a father and how parenting comes with no playbook and how it is not always the easiest of times, but it’s always an unconditional love.

  1. Dang RC! Who's cuttin onions!?😄😄 that hit me like i was watching John Q…all good Fatherhood is the best you brother's are good Love this show it's true therapy…💯

  2. This podcast has been one of the greatest things I've dedicated time too i hardcore started watching because of the tik tok of Michael Beasley I stumbled across and now 4 days later I've seen like 30 episodes now…..i grew up watching yall play being 31 yall were my era of football watching you guys are awesome and keep putting out the 100% real cause us fans love it 💪🤘🤘

  3. Well I hear Fred and Chan saying he was 14 he was there as a spectator as well as curious. Chan comparing it to him standing around to watch a fight. Well was Jerry there waiting to see a fight as well. Were the 6 black kids also curious and not there to attend the school? Were they only there to see what would happen if black kids did attend the school. Only certain 14 year olds have the right to be kids other 14 year olds are charged as adults.

  4. Words can't describe how I truly feel about this episode. In a nutshell, vulnerability is awesome. This episode is probably up there with the Michael Beasley one because u actually have the hosts being the vulnerable ones. What a great message it sends to the audience about the importance family and friends and knowing that we can't have everything the way we want it. YOU GUYS ARE GROUNDBREAKING!! KEEP BEING YOU BECAUSE THAT KEEPS THINGS PIVOTING!!

  5. I appreciate the unified conversation of Dan Snyder's fucking ineptitude… as a native Washingtonian and a fan, I'm excited to see him sell that franchise to a tree limb… I'm so glad we're about to be freed from this 25-year reign of terror…

  6. I especially appreciate Ryan's perspective on Jerry Jones… the picture and the moment are snapshots in time, but many things can be ascertained from those moments in time…

My biggest issue with the situation was the unprovoked protection and defense of Jerry Jones levied by Stephen A. Smith… that was an embarrassing attempt to aggressively chastise and challenge Black folks who felt a certain way this snapshot in time… Got Damn 🤬🤬🤬

  7. Why does Jerry get the benefit of the doubt from us vs. Kyrie. What changes can Jerry Jones show during his tenure? Jerry is about the dollar, that's it and that's all.

  8. This sum BS flat out love the show and will continue to not miss anything but the amount of grace yall give to Jerry who yall saying never hires blacks and has shown alot of inconsistent behavior. I love yall but we gotta do better holding them to the standards THEY HOLD US TOO

  9. When you don’t have people in color in the room when these decisions are made, this is what happens. It done over and over by these so called luxury brands

  10. Its like taking you child to a public hanging, but you child is grown..but he goes anyway! He knew it was going to see a hanging. Jerry at that age knew with this meeting was about, and he wanted to be apart of it. He anti-Semitic!

  11. Dan.. had shit on Jerry, remember what Dan said…he's not going down by himself and if the other owners are against him, hes airing out all the dirty laundry!

  12. Damn
Bro even tho Will Smith is on the other podcast
And even tho The Pivot got no guest today
Yeah I have to watch The Pivot first……
God damn I love listening to these guys
    Thank You Guys
    Y'all make a difference fr.
I waited all week to get to my Sunday
Smoke some and just Pivot with them

  13. Man y’all are so naive! Always tap dancing. Yall always call out and exploit black athletes but when it comes to white ppl y’all tip toe with them. Disappointed

  14. Jerry Jones gets a pass for standing with a racist mob in 1958. Kyrie Irving posted a link to a film, and he had to go through hell and back. smh

  15. Y’all need to stop! As a life long Redskin/Commanders fan, I have no problem with what they did for ST. The same type of manikins are in the Hall of Fame.
