  1. Wow! Shame on people for bringing in politics from over 70 years ago. Really? Ignorance at its finest. In any sport, there are 2 types of coaches. A coach who locks in on a strategy and chooses players to fit that predetermined strategy, or a coach who selects the top talent and creates a strategy around that talent. The 2006 tandem of Klinsmann and Löw was perfect because Klinsmann is excellent at talent and Löw is a tactician. 2014 was the perfect storm for Germany. Talent matched tactics. 2018 is a different story. I respect Löw, but he is a tactician and his player selection needs to be questioned.

  2. You have to take a player like that even as an option. He scored some very important goals for Man City in 17/18 and he has pace which Germany seriously lacked in the 2018 World Cup and were even outpaced by an ageing Mexico team.

  3. He said they needed time to have new leaders and it doesn't come overnight but they had 4 years so that's crap your country just wasn't good enough.

  4. This was such a fucking disgrace that they left him out. Easily the best german player going into the world cup and would've helped tremendously on the wing
