Chelsea has signed Spanish defender Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille. The 22-year-old right back is joining the European champions after representing Spain at the London Olympics earlier this month.
Contract details weren’t disclosed, but the transfer fee is reported to be about seven million pounds ($11 million). Azpilicueta is the fourth Spaniard in the Chelsea squad, teaming up with Juan Mata, Oriol Romeu and Fernando Torres.
Goal.com’s Peter Staunton assesses the youngster and works out whether he’ll be a comfortable fit for the Blues.

This is an awkward video.
That was weird
The guy knows his his stuff but still….
GOOD
thank you for Signing him to Chelsea….Branislav is just too slow for a RB and hes just a natural CB….Thank god Jose Bosingwa left he wasnt good anyways…Hope Cesar will be a good RB for Chelsea 😀
You talking bout Azpilicueta or the guy talking about him? XD
Coz he is buying decent players? I may be a Man United fan but as far as im concerned Marin, Hazard, Oscar, Azpilicueta…….money well spent XD
Not to mention the fact that most of the money spent has come from winning the FA cup and the £47 million from the Champions League. Also Marin was only £7 mill, Moses £9 mill, Azpilicueta £6 mill. Most of the money went on Oscar and Hazard but that £32 million on a 21 year old is looking to be a snip, he has a long time left in him. If they sold him in a few years then he could fetch double that and if not then they will have won enough to earn at least double back.
Chelsea finally got Moses? wow on a roll they are lol, they have their fist decent manager since Mourinho though so i reckon they will do well this season along with Swansea
chelsea r goin to cause problems to da other clubs dis season
finally!!! someone whos much better than Bosingwa
Chelsea made some good signings, Marin, Oscar, Moses, Cesar yet to start a game
Safe to say, it was a good signing
