Milos Degenek REVEALS it’s a fan of Lionel Messi.

Milos Degenek is self-confessed Lionel Messi fan, but the Australian centre-back has stopped short of saying it would be an honour to face the Argentina icon when the sides meet in the FIFA World Cup round of 16.

The Socceroos’ 1-0 victory against Denmark on Wednesday set up a mouthwatering clash with La Albiceleste in the knockout stage.

Results-wise, the Socceroos have surpassed the ‘Golden Generation’ of 2006 and while they may not have as many superstars, Degenek says they are “Gods” in their own way.
