France will go into their World Cup semi-final against neighbours Belgium with a ‘hunger to win’ and a desire to show their 1998 World Cup winner Thierry Henry that he picked the wrong side, forward Olivier Giroud said. Retired French striker Henry is now a member of the Belgium coaching staff. The two sides will meet on Tuesday to decide who plays in next Sunday’s World Cup final against either England or Croatia. Both teams have earned their billing as pre-tournament favourites, with France ousting Uruguay in the last eight and Belgium stunning five-times champions Brazil to book their own semi-final spot

  1. can someone explain why Giroud is in this French squad? I don't really understand due to his shit quality. Griezmann, Benzema, Lacazette, Fekir are all better players. I know Griezmann and Fekir are in the squad but they are pushed out to the wings or sometimes on the bench. And Benzema had that sex tape scandal with Valbuena a couple years back but is that why he choses not to play or is he banned?
