  1. It's so weird seeing lil Nicky Ryan as the "grown man" in the equation. He will always be like 18 MAX, in my mind. (I watched him lose to a teammate twice when he was like 13 haha)
This kid Dorian just stunned a lot of people at the east coast ADCC trials though, ran through everyone to gold, he is a beast.
The way Nicky handles him is beautiful though, the kids wrestling has grown by leaps and bounds, that arm drag to single/to back set up is one of my favorites and he hit that flawlessly. The way he is on your back trying to isolate/trap one of your arms AS he is at the same time fishing not just his hooks, but a body triangle in there to secure the back? Kids technique is SICKK. Love to watch this kid when he's going hard, really competing. His back control is absurd. Props to Dorian too, very bright future ahead of him, he is a little spartan.

  2. White belt here. What’s the point of switching from double unders to that grip and prying Dorian’s neck? I understand needing a seatbelt grip in order RNC, but I’m confused what prying the neck does. He does it at 4:41
