Having seen Onana up close at the City Ground,, I don't think he is better than DeGea – in-fact he lacks movement and confidence. Both of Forest's goals might have been saved with a better keeper.
Stop with the question of being good enough as if United is good enough. The players they got is precisely what they can get. United is subtop, live with it.
Ederson is better with his feet. And that is why he fits in so well at City. He is also a very well rounded keeper in other aspects of his game but the reality is he has to do far less shot stopping and handling of crosses because City dominate possession all game long. By comparison, Alisson is solid with his feet but not on the same level as Ederson. However, Alisson is undisputedly the better shot stopper and perhaps the best 1v1 keeper in the world. Because of Liverpool’s style of play, he is asked to do far more shot stopping and handling of crosses than Ederson does for City. Both fit the systems they play in very well. But Alisson is the number 1 for Brazil for a reason. He is the better all around keeper.

Gomes was one of the most error prone keepers in premier league history, possibly the most error prone the league has ever seen. I don't really think he's in any position to determine that Onana is good enough. He's an awful goalkeeper, and United have the remarkable record in that every United signing we've made post Ferguson has failed to improve in any way. In almost every instance, our signings get worse year on year. So if we work off that basis, right now Onana is at the best we'll ever see him, he'll get worse as the years go on

Dosent shuffle his feet..dont take steps towards the ball just dives..leaps b4 diving.seen him leave his feet for a ground shot like he jumped straight up and tried reaching down..confusing..hes probably playin scared..not good enough..its both.i like my gks 6'4 plus..now gk is top 2 hardest position in sport..along with qb
