Gabby, after his transfer, floated the narrative that pep was restrictive to his individual game, people even ran with this idea that he played mostly on the wing for city which is absolutely not true 😭
he was given multiple windows to be the guy as pep didn’t love kuns style, and kun always had some range of time where he was sidelined,
i say this to say, he’s a tremendous team player but his best ever season he played either played in a 2 with kun & spelled him as a change of pace
I agree with Juls completely that 70% of our game will be Plan A with Jesus, but we do need a plan B striker at Arsenal because we are decent at popping crosses in the last 10 minutes we just have no one to bury them. An Olivier Giroud type from years ago.

People forget that Jesus can also play wide. How we got so many players that can play different positions but don’t use them in other positions. Arteta has to switch up play styles. We used saka and martinelli so much they burnt out now. Not producing what they should be producing.
Gabriel Jesus isn't good for playing in an attack trio. He only shines in an attack duo were he needs to do both the work inside the box and the building outside the box.

The problem with the skillset of Jesus is that it relies on Saka and Martinelli scoring enough goals, which they don't. Liverpool worked with Firmino because Salah and Mane scored a lot of goals
We should be upgrading on nketiah with jesus as a second choice or winger
Did Arteta think Havertz was Plan B? Didn't he buy Vieira to be an AM back up. With the funds available you replace or buy a Thomas Partey back up or a striker that is different to Jesus. Havertz is a bit of an inbetween option where no one is really sure where he is best
No one can say Jesus isn’t a good player he’s an incredible playmaker but not a number 9. If we had a natural striker and Jesus on the wing whether starting or backup.. I’d feel much more confident
We do not need Jesus to be focusing on assists and running around , we have that … We a number 9 in and around the box as an outlet , and scoring , Gabriel has 1 assist in 15 games , what Juls thinks is his strength is clearly not working … Also why keep talking of last season , The approach of play is no longer working , Arsenal has to be flexible

Jesus is a VERY important player for a team like ARSENAL. Very versatile. Almost a jack of all trades and definately a master of none.
The team MUST get a very good striker and a very good CDM. Get rid of Havertz. What you then have is Jesus who can play any forward position and would be a PERFECT for rotating Saka and Martinelli. Problem Solved.
Eddie can't do what Jesus does, but Jesus can't do what Eddie does, which is score. Eddie outscored Jesus every season. If not by goals, then by goals per 90.

It makes no sense selling Partey because GREAT teams have equally effective options. Most Arsenal fans would like to see either Partey or Declan and No.6, and if not, we want them both in a double-pivot. Maybe the team would stop leaking goals. Then an inverted fullback isn't necessary.
I think most Arsenal fans would agree on Arteta-Out if he sells Smith-Rowe. Sell Vieira and Havertz. Smith-Rowe is the better player of all three. So far, Arteta has decimated the Hale End academy base. Others may not notice, but true Arsenal fans do.

A No. 9 is not the only (main) solution to Arsenals problems. The team is build for success…. They just need a ruthless coach to come in and win titles.

This time last season, no one was saying Arsenal needed a "proper no.9". In fact, Jesus was probably Arsenal's best player up till his injury at the WC. A new striker isn't going to solve Arsenal's issues, they need to address how they play overall

Obvious to everyone but Arteta that the offense is predictable and something has to change, whether that a proper 9 or what have you, there has to be a few other options off the bench or formation change, if Miguel is stubborn on this AFC wont even finish in CL spots

I’m a massive giroud fan and I remember everyone saying he doesn’t score enough and I told them but he links play and holds the ball up well when he’s not scoring etc . He’s a striker he needs to score goals that’s his job . Funny thing is a lot of Arsenal fans didn’t have that same energy with Lacazette or Jesus now . Meanwhile Giroud is still scoring goals and would be wonderful to have in this arsenal side ….
