Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that Juan Foyth was fantastic against Crystal Palace, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Foyth scored the only goal in the London derby at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening, as Tottenham got the better of Palace 1-0 away from home in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old central defender was also brilliant at the back, as the Argentine youngster recovered well from his performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
The youngster gave away two penalties against Wolves last week, but the Argentine was solid at the back against Palace.
According to WhoScored, Foyth has one shot on target which ended in a goal, had a pass accuracy of 86.1%, won one header, had 101 touches, and made three interceptions and five clearances.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has praised Foyth for his performance against Palace.
BBC Sport quotes Pochettino as saying: “It’s fantastic for Foyth. His performance today was fantastic.
“He played so well. He needs to learn and keep improving but he is a very good prospect for us.”
Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 12 matches, two points behind leaders Manchester City, who have a game in a hand.
