Art of pingpong player all time ever
신의영역인듯
Asian
Players (china,Korea n japan) mastered pen holder technic ..cause of their natural way to eat using chopstick…
Kim was THE player I hate when I was a kid and watching those games, just because he's so good and we might lose. Now I just appreciate and miss his legendary penhold skills. Hope the penhold don't get obsolete.
Can i copy smashing ball literally on the table like him nowadays

What blade did he use?
Penhold delivers more entertainment value to the table tennis sport, more so for the traditional J/K penhold. Unfortunately, it is fading breed at the highest level of TT

Penholder never dies.
Kim Taek-soo was not as detailed as Yoo Nam-kyu and Ahn Jae-hyung in terms of speed-saving plays, especially forward or target plays. It seems that the brain fight was also weak.
Instead, he had a strong forehand top spin from the middle class like European shakehand players, and the backhand was also very high among penholder players. It wasn't a backhand equivalent to a shake hand, but the technical level of backhand blocks and backhand smashing was very high, and sometimes it showed a performance that didn't lag behind in a backhand fight with a shakehand player.
However, due to the nature of the single-sided pen holder, there was a limitation that it was difficult to make a mid- to continuous fore-back hand top-spin like a shakehand player, and he overcame it with his footwork.
As a result, it is thought that he had a footwork close to perfect in the history of table tennis.
The classical style of overpowering opponents with heavy top spin from middle location to single-sided pen holders by saving footwork was enough to shock viewers.
However, he didn't have any reason to play ping-pong with a pen holder, but I think it's a disappointing case of holding a pen holder. If he played table tennis with his shake hands, I'm sure he would have won the top of the Olympics or world championships with a higher achievement than Yoo Seung Min Yu Nam-kyu.
In table tennis, Asian Games gold medals are as difficult as Olympic gold medals, but Asian Games gold medals are too bad for his level of play.
Kim Taek-soo, the King of no-crown
My favorite player! Tournaments with no penholders are boring!
