It was a good defensive performance by Utd! Utd players were making tackles & flying into challenges! The problem though is the inconsistency of EtH! Since the Newcastle game he has repeated being proactive but this tactical shift was not Man Utd being proactive they were forced to do it because of the lack of any other option! They could not have played any other way and found a result! EtH has been daydreaming on how to tactically shape this team! A lesson learnt too late and what makes it worse is he might not persist with this! It is something to build on though!

As a Liverpool fan, the result was crap and our own performance wasnt great but im happy that the utd fans finally have their expections well and truly managed. Even when we were absolutely awful under souness…we never dropped the depths this current utd team has. They have finally embraced the fact that they are now a glorified crystal palace, so congratulations on that.
