      Can't ever remember Brooks playing as a central midfielder, he's always been a CAM or right winger, he played 10 against Fulham and played really well there, he's getting starts in this position in the Premier League? At Sheffield United the same.

      Thanks as always Ger. Hope you had a great Christmas. Brooks is a decent player but not sure he’s what we need at this point. Lukic would be a good loan signing. 49ers ain’t mugs. They’ll stand firm where Pascal is concerned. I’d hold out for at least 40m. Best wishes to you and the channel for 2024.

      I do wonder how these so called journalists are able to make claims on what would in effect be highly confidential information. At the end of the day football is a business and businesses simply don't give out the information some claim they have privy to. When you consider that some of these people don't actually live or work in the countries they claim to have strong contacts in you wonder just where they are getting the information they claim to have. I do wonder at times if they are fed 'information' by some in the hopes that it might generate a conversation rather than a conversation already existing.

      I don't have a problem with Struijk taking penalties as he is a fine passer of the ball. I've always seen taking a penalty as more of passing the ball into the net rather than shooting as you have time and no player pressure to chose where you will be hitting the ball. Steve Bruce was a good penalty taker as was Dennis Irwin and we of course had Johnny Giles who was a great passer of the ball and always took a good penalty.

      I was very critical of Struijk earlier in the season, but I'm happy to eat humble pie, as he has been outstanding and has proved to be a real leader on the pitch. It's only natural that when a player has stand out performances it attracts envious interest from other clubs. Let's hope we hold onto him as he really has found his groove with us.

      I would be happy for Struijk to leave at the end of the season. It's part of the model, buy young and cheap – sell for more. I would loan out Gyabi, Bate and maybe Joseph in January.

      From the title, I thought we were getting John Lukic back as short term cover for Meslier's suspension. And people were critical of Meslier's punching, at least I've never seen him punch it backwards.

      Cheers Ger, just thought our last game preston put us under pressure and we dint handle it well . Slightly worrying as styles make fights so be interesting to see how teams come at us now and what changes Faker makes. All the best

      If we do not go up this year then most of our good players will leave and then we will be facing a long time in the wilderness. 49rs need to tell Farke to get better results.

      Romano exposing himself as a rumour clown again. His info is from paying agents and getting paid by media companies who can't do their own research fills his pockets. I might give it a go myself. Here we go.
