ESPN FC’s Shaka Hislop, Steve Nicol, Ale Moreno and Julien Laurens dive into Harry Kane’s injury which will keep him out until April, compounding Tottenham’s problems under Jose Mourinho. Nicol says Tottenham continue to be poor defensive under Mourinho while Moreno says the team’s style has gradually changed to reflect Mourinho’s later teams at Manchester United. Hislop believes there is little separating Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United for the fourth spot in the Premier League and that should give Spurs fans hope and Laurens thinks AC Milan’s mercurial striker Krzysztof Piatek might not be the answer for Tottenham in the wake of Kane’s injury.

The defence is the problem, Aurier is a headless chicken when trying to defend, Vertonghen & Alderweireld are past their best and Sanchez still looks raw – no matter who the manager is you have got to have decent players to work with and when it comes to the defence and defensive midfield the players are simply not good enough.
I watch a lot of Seria A & I have my doubts about Piatek. He’s a medium sized, busy, clever player who is not particularly quick. He’d have to play off somebody and Lorrente has been sold now! What about Giroud? From Seria A, Napoli’s Milik is a better option!

They need someone like a young Chicharito, a ST that can poach awesome goals but more importantly starts attacking plays in the box with movement, passes etc.
Spurs are completely static during sustained attacks, Kane used to be able to outmuscle defenders in the box but not anymore. So they need speed.
