Ko Itakura is on loan at FC Groningen since January 2019. Just after Manchester City bought him from Kawasaki Frontale for €1.100.000. Ko had a rough start at FC Groningen but in the 2,5 years Itakura is in Groningen he has become one of the best centrebacks in the Eredivisie. The 24 year old japanese is likely to make a nice transfer this summer. His contract at Manchester City lasts until the summer of 2022.
Itakura has played 55 games for FC Groningen so far.
