ESPN FC’s Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens discuss Japan’s 2-1 victory over Spain, sending Germany out of the World Cup. The guys then talk about Spain’s manager Luis Enrique’s tactical choices in the game and if they think there’s any truth to Spain being happy to lose to Japan to avoid playing Brazil.

  1. There is literally a video of koke on the sideline showing 4-2 with his hands and telling his teammates to slow down while they were 2-1 behind. Not even talking about the fact that they scored a single goal with more than 80% ball posession. I mean c'mon…

  2. VAR should be mandated to show the picture(s) or Video(s) used to reach their decision(s) within one minute of the decision being made. We don't want to see some reconstructed picture almost 24 hours later. Show us the image(s) from the actual game.

  3. No they did not try to lose. There was a point in the game where Spain were actually going out if Germany didn’t come back and beat Costa Rica

  4. Germany did this in 1982 (Gijon, kicking our Algeria), maybe they now paid for it. Spain did it now. If these pundits know they have to lie to keep their job, they should better say nothing and don't talk about this shameful loss on purpose. Hope it won't work out and Spain goes out soon due to loss of Karma.

  5. A lot of games manship here . Lose on purpose or draw on purpose . The gamesmanship is a bit obvious . You don’t want to believe it but the evidence is there for all to see .
