Sue Smith and Jay Bothroyd discussed yesterday’s fixture between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Virgil van Dijk claimed Liverpool were “were superior in every aspect” over Manchester United in their 0-0 draw – a view Roy Keane blasted as “arrogance”.

Jurgen Klopp’s side pushed throughout in a game they were heavily favoured to win but found United in a resolute mood despite posting 34 shots and winning 12 corners. Erik ten Hag’s team might even have won it on the counter-attack had Alisson not saved from Rasmus Hojlund in the second half.

When asked for his opinion on the game, Van Dijk said he thought Liverpool did more than enough to win it.

  1. Sky News keep up your anti-United rhetoric. It STINKS! And too bad for you all. You thought Liverpool was gonna run over United? You are so lucky Hoijlund didn't go with his left foot. United played with heart and STOPPED ALL Liverpool's tactics to score. Be objective and say things as they are NOT this constant spectacle in putting United down at every chance. United will rise again.

  2. Okay does it mean United would've played loose as a team to conside goals just because they have poor season? Logic must prevail. Useless words.

  3. 😂😂😂 people are deluded Man U would get sacrificed playing these inhaler merchants you can say Man U never looked like scoring but Garnacho and Hojlund had better chances then liverpool and if we can get defence and win more games 1-0 2-0 we’ll be onto the start of something

  4. Did he just roll out of the bed and go straight onto tv.. Sky tv u should not allow a presenter be dressed and unclean shaving the way he is

    Looks scruffy and unprofessional

  5. as a liverpool fan I don't blame united for parking the bus ppl need to realize apart from anfield under klopp being absolute house of horrors for united teams over the years teams like arsenal city and liverpool are superior to united and have been slaughtering united in recent years so this the only way to avoid defeat in fixtures against these ppl so well played united and ETH

  6. There's always negative reports from the panel of sky sports Liverpool should be lucky we didn't convert those 2 chance into 2 goals give credit where it's due the media seems to be against united

  7. I find this quite funny, tbh. I think Keane has been triggered because Utd's approach and VVD's subsequent comments both imply Utd are now too scared to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool, which leaves neutrals with the opinion of well who can blame them cause we all know Man Utd are now at the level of Barnsley so they have no choice, and ironically leaves Liverpool fans the only ones still keeping them on their pedestal when saying you're supposed to be Man Utd so act like it and give us a game. Either way, Roy Keane is still running around wanting to knock everyone out cause he isn't smart enough to act any other way.

  8. The players can't win… I always hope the players can be honest in their interviews… but if they're going be judged no point. As a fan when my team lose I don't even want to chat to anyone! In my opinion Roy just watched his beloved team playing like that to their closes rival… which is bad😂

  9. Strange game, crap atmosphere that's business not football, trying to win is football, parking the bus isn't.
This was the medias view when Mourinhio did it, so why Roy Keanes veiw is van dyke was arrogant is very strange, guess his comments on United show his arrogance, dissing united, one championship in 30 years, please Roy

  10. Pffftt, arsed about what van dyke had to say, we could only put out what we had on the pitch, and dispite it being a team not being up to the task of beating a full strength liverpool on tje day, united did what no other team has done so far this season. Stopped them scoring and took a point from anfield, so dispite the draw, id say we won the match
