This is your USMNT Abroad weekend recap. For this week the Americans at PSV continued to shine with Dest and Tillman putting up a great performance. Pulisic also helped Milan get a 3-0 win over Monza.

Dest is on fire!
Zenejas should be given another look but I rather give the spot to Paredes
As a Brazilian, I am concerned at your level of understanding of football… When has an amazing season EVER BEEN JUST 5 GOALS AND 4 ASSIST? The BAR IS SO LOW, ITS UNACCEPTABLE. According to your standards, LEON BAILEY IS BETTER THAN PULISIC RN.
W
PSV vs. Dortmund is gonna be an interesting match 👀
W video
Everyone need pump the breaks on turner
Hot take: NF's defense was so poor on that second goal that I can't blame Turner too much for it. Terrible, limp back pass. That low left-side outlet was probably his only realistic play. His defenders were so poor that the shot really came ripping at him from a very close, uncontested difference. If anything, Turner getting his hands on that shot is sort of a happy little accident. That shot, with that level of defending, is the sort of shot that can somehow defy the laws of mathematics and have an xG over 1 for crying out loud.
That said… yeah, that outlet could've been better (I mean… avoiding stepping back for a kick under duress is something I tried to teach my daughter's U9 team last year), and considering that Turner got his hands on the ball (even with it coming as fast as it did from as close as it was) he should've done better… it's like it went through his fingers.
It's honestly Pulisic taking form in Millan giving me a reason to tell the Loud Chelsea Fans of how wrong they are. Coming from being Chelsea fan watching Mount not doing anything in Manchester and Havertz somewhat coming up while I'm sitting in Mid-table.
Also thank you Italy for creating new chants for us. "PULI! PULI! SIC! SIC!"
TAC, can you also talk about ANOTHER AMERICAN that plays in Scotland called “Dante Polvora” from Aberdeen?🇺🇸
McKinney in the ripped jersey moment. The best USA moment ever?
Brendinho might become surplus at this point. Kevasito is coming, and if young Luca stops playing games and commits, where does that leave Aaronson right now??
My favorite moment was McKennie kissing the badge on his torn jersey while staring at Mexican fans
Tbf Away at City is like playing at a neutral venue for both teams
Reyna should try and go to Juve or AC Milan
It seems the Serie A and Eredivisie is the best league for americans if they want to compete in Europe. The epl and bundesliga are good leagues but most English and Germans dont really have patience with americans.
SABBI !!! Hello USMNT!
Mckeenie's kiss on his jersey, league's cup championship (cause their game was outstanding without Bberty)
Worst moment yeah return of Bert andloss to germany
Dante Polvara?
I watched the Forest game and, except for the horrendous pass right to Kulusevski's feet for the shot and score, I think Turner played OK and made some very good saves. In a way it didn't matter because Forest was never going to score against Spurs. The Richarlison goal could have been handled better, but on the other hand, Turner I believe expected the defender to mark but when he saw Richarlison had escaped Turner came out but it was a second too late. HIs distribution was OK too, except for the bonehead pass — I didn't count, but I think a majority of his long balls found a red shirt. Look, playing with feet is obviously a problem for Turner at the EPL level, but the Brighton keeper made a very similar pass right to feet of an Arsenal player in a scoring position, and Brighton is a team that almost ALWAYS plays out of the back and has trained tirelessly on patterns to do so!! I actually fault Forest coaching for Turner's blunder, he should be under specific instructions to go long UNLESS there is an obvious outlet for the straightforward pass to an open teammate. Yeah, yeah, I know, it very youth soccer-y, but really against a vastly superior team hauling it up the field to live another day is fine. I get it — we're a team in a top league so we should be able to play skillfully out of the back, and all that, but you increase the possibility of a ghastly mistake, especially against a press from a superior team schooled and athletically capable of quickly closing all the passing lanes in your defensive third.
Filippo, you keep fluffing about with Tim Ream's absence – JEEEZ! Just google "Tim Ream injury" and there are multiple articles about the fact that Ream has a calf injury that Marco Silva says is likely to keep him out of the lineup until after Christmas.
Waking up around 8 is not getting up early.
For now I dont really care if our goalkeeper plays in MLS anymore. I mean we discovered Turner when he was still in MLS.
Interesting that Hirving Lozano got benched for the entire game with Malik Tillman taking his place out in the left wing. One thing I noticed was in the last game that Lozano started, he took one or two high angle shots from his left wing position instead of crossing to his team mates in the center, who were wide open and obviously mad at him for not passing the ball. So, yeah, I think that's why he got benched, for not being a team player.
As much crap as you are giving Turner, Forrest are ABYSMAL without him. Their other keeper has given up more goals than he has made saves FFS! And almost as many goals as Turner had in half the number of games played before he finally got sent back to the bench. So yeah, he may have made a mistake in this game but he is by and far their best option and they have to keep him in the net because they are FUCKED without him.
Favorite was the Brek Shea interview.
Least was everything Reyna
Favorite moments…Nation’s League final and semi-final when BJ had the team ballin. My other favorite moment was the guy in the stands after GGG was rehired with the BJ Callahan shirt that said, “we ball.” Worst moment was GGG being rehired and the lame justifications from US Soccer!
Ream has a calf injury. Out until January. Silva announced it over the weekend
FYI, i though both Pepi and Tillman played very well in the last group stage CL game against an Arsenal A minus/B+ team, Pepi particularly, who put himself in position to score twice, and was generally effective in the traditional 9 role. This move to PSV has been huge for him, as he clearly is learning a lot about playing center forward and his upside is substantial. Very encouraging.
Best: Nations League Semi-Final against Mexico. Worst: Gregg
As el tri fan it was the rehiring of Greg berhalter
Josh Cohen?
GK will sort itself out. Winger subs are biggest issue. Right now, I agree with 3 wingers and three strikers. 4th fullback is 2nd biggest question. Weak assist and Giroud muff cancel out.
Favorite games: The BJ Callahan era.
Favorite moment: McKennie kissing badge on torn jersey.
Random comment
I would say my favorite moment is probably Weston kissing his ripped jersey, legend! But honorable mention is Pulisic goal against Germany just because I was there and had a great view of it and it was my first usmnt game in person.
I saw it’s a minor calf injury for Tim Ream.
Canada and Mexico in Nations league was my favorite for 2 reasons.
1. No Greg ball during those 2 games.
2. It was my first USMNT game I have seen in person.
Paxton was either injured or being rested… He played nearly the whole game for Frankfurt in the midweek Europa Conf. League game.
Frankly, at this point I could do with less Reyna v Berhalter talk. I’m done with that.
How about 17 years old Diego Kochen who is currently a backup goalkeeper for Barcelona A team?
Favorite moment was beating the pants off of Mexico. The Mexicans at the game were tremendous and a lot of fun. At least in our section. Worst moment Dest… losing it. 2024 is the year of leadership and proving we are a serious contender.
My favorite moment is when Gio Reyna finally left Borussia Dortmund to play for Brighton Hove Al- wait …..what? He hasn't left yet?! Ah well, I guess my favorite moment then has to be when Jose Mourinho was named the US national team coach….and those press conferences….epic. Sorry folks but I got to make s**t up as I can't think of anything. This year was null.
Cant put my finger on why, but when he does the "Hi" thing and raises his hand it bothers me. I dont know why, I just dont like it. Leave the hand down. Love the rest of the content though!
Thanks for making these every week man
Nations league win has to be the top moment
This is straight from the gut, without any looking back. The worst moment and best moment happened within 3 hours.
Worst moment, GGG getting announced as rehired just before Nations league semifinal vs Mexico.
BEST MOMENt: beating Mexico 3 to Zero at Nations league semifinal.
Favorite had to be the thrashing of Mexio in the NL final. Never seen the US dominate Mexio like that. Least favorite was that lost to TNT. Berhalter hiring is right up there with it.
