Souness is clueless, great player but a shocking coach. Tactically a joke. As for Grealish, Pep doesn't like him to play expansive football, he has his system and it works. Compare Grealish at Villa to the player he is at Man City.

I mean he won the treble last year and won the league the season before and has played a lot of games so I really doubt Jack is too fussed about old souness. And I doubt pep is bothered either.
It needs to be a rule that when pundits start using phrases like in my day, or players today, it's time for them to be put out to pasture. People need to dig in to the archives and read what the older generation had to say about Souness' generation. Poncy perms, more interested in doing adverts than playing the game, none of today's over payed soft lads could hold a candle to Matthews, Finney or Lofthouse. Football is like music, everyone thinks the era they were young and care free just happened to also be the Halcyon golden age.

if I look at dopeys time at Manchester City overall , to me it has not been a success , he has shown in patches what he's about but nowhere near enough to warrant a ludicrous transfer fee and obscene wages , he had a good thing going at Aston Villa and he gave it all up to move to the Etihad , but I also agree with him when he said Manchester City compete for the league and play in europes top club competition , but look at Aston Villa now , he could have been a massive part of that 🤔
