    Bournemouth Fans Sing Tom Lockyer’s Name After Luton Captain Suffers Cardiac Arrest



    Rob Edwards and his Luton team were visibly upset after the medical incident which saw Tom Lockyer exit the pitch, leading to the abandonment of the Cherries vs Luton game. It later transpired that he suffered a cardiac arrest.

      Handled with absolute class as I knew it would be. There has been a bond between our clubs since the minus points season but the way you, your fans, all the players, staff and medical team at Bournemouth handled a horrendous situation, I can really only say thank you. A fantastic example of a brilliantly run club, with amazing fans. I think I speak for all Hatters fans when I say this won’t be forgotten. Thank you again.

      Thanks to AFC Bournemouth for everything yesterday from a lifelong Luton fan. What a great club you have. Just refreshing to see proper football fans responding to a horrible situation in such a class way. You should all be proud of yourselves.       thats brilliant on your donations – football secondary when something happens like that . im a saints fan, but all in all im a football fan and health and wellness for any player, person is priority. thank you for sharing your video and your channel is great i watch it often even as a fan up the coast its great content and fun to watch. total respect

      Luton & Bournemouth "kind of" had a bond (probably not the right choice of word) before Saturday, and it's stronger after the events of Saturday. The compassion you showed to Locks and Luton was outstanding. Respect to you.

      A very respectful vlog. And spot-on behaviour by all in the stadium on Saturday, be they fans of AFCB or LTFC, the teams themselves and all the ground staff. Like at least two comments from other Hatters, Bournemouth are now my second team! I hope we manage to stay up (I think that won't be a problem for the Cherries) so we get a repeat fixture next season. Having said that, the atmosphere at the replayed fixture this season will be very strange.

      I’m not someone who likes giving love (or even like) to other football clubs. Maybe I’m too old school. I was a thug in the late eighties and nineties with Luton’s Mi2’s. But I have to say how heartwarming your fans (and staff/players) were on Saturday. Your fans were absolutely incredible. I expected anger at the abandonment but I didn’t hear a single moan from your fans. After hearing the abysmal atmospheres at Chelsea, ManUtd, Villa and Brentford (Villa surprised me all things considered). Prem fans are shit. Forest were okay though. When managers from the glory hunter clubs who play in front of 40-78,000 have to warn their players about the atmosphere at Luton that shocks me. We have less than 10,000 home fans at Kenilworth Road yet it’s louder than Old Trafford and Villa Park. I’ll not be too sad if we get relegated. Most Championship fans are so much better than most Prem fans. And most League 1 fans are better than most Championship fans.
      I’m glad you stuck with your manager. He’s showing his quality now. watfud would have sacked him ages ago.
      So thank you to all your Bournemouth fans who were so respectful. Tom Lockyer is our captain and leader. I can’t see him playing again. It’s so sad.

      Hatters fan here. Got a bit emotional watching that. Bournemouth, you are wonderful. Similar story to us as well. Deducted points in League Two, the same year as we got our -30. Thanks to your class supporters, players, staff and everyone for Saturday. It means an awful lot. ❤
