Hate to blow this up, but Korean baseball is way behind Japanese pro baseball. This Lee is a good kid, just hate to see him get blown out by 96mph fastballs, sinkers, cutters, and vicious sliders in MLB. Hope it's not going ot be an embarassment. He looks like body wise, a single A player at best. Ouch. I hope he realizes the position he is putting himself in. If he is a blowup, Farhan will be fired like he should already bringing this skinny kid on over. I could be wrong, but this seems like a bad idea.
Translator didn't do good job at all even though I think he is a very intelligent man, he shouldn't be translating anymore. i.e. Even the very last Q&A, Jung Hoo said "I'll do my best", but translator said "No comment", which could be misunderstood by people.

That's sad . The interpreter did not convey Lee Jeong-hooโs words properly. Many important words were not translated, including the fact that his father's nickname was Son of the Wind and that he became the grandson of the Wind as soon as he was born. It's frustrating how important interpretation is at press conferences like this. It's pathetic who hired an interpreter like that!

Could've gotten a better translator. Most of Jung Hoo's answers were either shortened or misinterpreted.
Also didn't deliver media's questions to Jung Hoo properly.
He mentioned about looking forward to playing on natural grass, the reason why he liked Crawford, the details of Ha Seong Kim's advice to him – just a few which the translator didn't provide to the media. And he def didn't say "No Comment" to Ohtani's question.
Translator seems fluent in English but not in Korean. Doesn't deliver well to neither Jung Hoo nor to the media. Too bad.

TERRIBLE INTERPRETER! This guy is adding his own words blatantly. Lee said he enjoys netflix, youtube and having good food, and this guy said Jung Hoo likes "good food from his mother, like all of us" get the fuck out of here. This is just one of MANY examples of how he F-ed up the translations. His Korean to English is terrible, and he probably doesn't know Korean very well. Get a proper translator gee!!!
Ok so we signed Lee who has speed, plays defense and makes contact. Now we need to trade for Randy Arozarena!! Did any of the Giants brass watch the WBC? This guys is electric and also has speed, plays defense and hits. Besides Ohtani Arozarena was a highlight reel in the WBC and his part of why the Tampa Rays are always in contention.
