Second CL, pep made him play more whilst injured because he trusts him more than anyone. When it was horrible he should play and potentially ruin his career because of a CL when other people can hold it down which they did.

I think another reason why Trent is favoured for Liverpool more than Trippier is for Newcastle is the fact that Trippier's creativity is very reliant on his crossing. Trent can cross and pass at a very elite level. This is more like choosing between Ward Prowse and Douglas Luiz, where JWP gives more from set plays and crosses and Luiz won't give you as much there but will be better in most other areas.
