paredes is not a regista, he is a holding midfielder, static midfield. we already have one like him for example arthur and pjanic, people complain pjanic is slow? paredes also slow just look at how argentina with paredes played?
he cant play in double pivot too.
paredes also needs 2 fast winger and wingback. which is juventus lacking at the moment.
and the glaring paredes weaknes is his defensive coverage range is limited.
also he is lacking on positioning when his team on possession.
the ball needs to find him.

he can dribble but he wont do it because he dont want to caught out positions due his bad defensive coverage.

paredes is an expensive 7.2M per season benchwarmer, glorified by uninformed juventus fans, like by allegri who had bad scouts.
if allegri failed to prove his chosen player like zakaria is the right signing.
how can you tell signing paredes will be a usefull signing for juve?

rovella is the better regista than paredes.
he is azzurini playmaker, his ball winning and interception on par with paredes, has a wide range defensive coverage, actively giving pass option not like paredes, actively involved on attacks, his movement smart and very good on reading the games, he is quick and agile had a good pace and brave, can play all midfielder positions while paredes cant.
the only downside is rovella is young and paredes is older.
