In the pitch-black night, stung by jellyfish, choking on salt water, singing to herself, hallucinating … Diana Nyad just kept on swimming. And that’s how she finally achieved her lifetime goal as an athlete: an extreme 100-mile swim from Cuba to Florida — at age 64. Hear her story.

  1. I saw a movie ad on,Youtube recently that Jodie Foster,Annette Benning are in a film about this amazing PERSON. I had not ever hrard of Diana Nyad until I saw that ad.More Power to you,Ms.Nyad, you have Guts,Chutzpah, Courage.Sincerely,Nancy Sanders❤❤

  2. I know her story but I needed to be reminded of it today. Human beings are capable of things we can't yet imagine. If everyone around you tells you that you cannot do something but your inner self says something else, listen to it. We are not our limitations, we are not our shadows.

  3. Yo llore, la película es espectacular se nota que su personalidad fue capturada perfectamente por la actriz. Nyad es una creyente y creadora, me encanto y me afirma que puedo hacer cualquier cosa en esta vida con actitud mente y fuerza de voluntad !!!

  5. I watched her movie in Netflix 'NYAD' and i was shocked and inspired.. she is my hero, i am 42 and i have already given up but after watching her movie i am up again after my dream . Thankyou Diana 🎉

  6. Didn't someone sue her? On the same time frame that she swam that swim? Someone, a male, a swimmer, who did the same swim but didn't get recognized. I don't why she keeps saying that it has hasn't been done before. Walter Poenisch in 1978, who sued her, and Susie Maroney in 1997. I know it's without the cage. With or without…they are both amazing feats. I wish that I could see her childhood, as a swimmer. She must have been pushed hard. Look at the gymnastics women's team…and how those coaches worked them with broken bones, barely eating. What made Diane push so hard, and put herself in danger so many times?
