Fulham is targeting Brazil midfielder André as a potential replacement for João Palhinha, should the latter leave in January. Palhinha has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and several other Premier League clubs. Fulham will not allow Palhinha to leave without securing a replacement, and André is their top choice. The 22-year-old has impressed in the Brazilian top-flight and made his debut for the national team this year. Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt claimed that Liverpool was interested in André during the summer, but a deal was only possible in January. Fulham has been scouting André and representatives have been in England ahead of the January transfer window. Palhinha recently signed a new contract until 2028, but Bayern Munich still considers him their preferred choice to strengthen their squad. The new deal does not include a release clause. Fulham is also looking for a striker to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic and is interested in Feyenoord’s Santiago Giménez, although his club is demanding a high fee.
