great listen lads, keep up the good work HHGH
As a Melbourne City fan I'll give my 2 cents.
When he first started playing RB he was better than what we had and did alright. The A League has marque signings like the MLS and he has played with a couple who played CB and coached him on the field, his development shot through the roof, especially in his positioning and reading of the game.
His early years in the underage national teams he has mostly played as a central mid and captained the side most games, it's only the last couple of tournaments he played as a RB. And as stated he has been the stand out player, even in central mid. At Melbourne City he has played predominately as a RB, but has filled in at RW.
He's very consistent and makes some good runs which have seen him score some pretty impressive goals and assists, either cut backs or crosses, but looks for the one two's. As said he is comfortable cutting in or playing wide, I'd say his biggest strengths are reading the game defensively and offensively and positioning, he makes good decisions and is comfortable playing in tight spaces.
As one of our stand out players for the last couple of years we are going to miss him, I hope he does well for you and will be following in interest. I've followed casually because of Devlin, I liked him as a player, but I'll surely pay more attention now.
I watched the cup game and he did well. He played within himself.
