Ben White at centre back is soo obviously the answer for CB
England's best two players don't have the grind of PL football week in week out. Could be a deciding factor.
That was really a chance missed for keane to highlight the failure the fai have done with irish football. I guess he doesnt want to say too much as still wants the manager job.
Pickford was very very lucky that he didn't throw the semi final vs Denmark away in the first half. He gave the ball straight to the Danish attacking players numerous times in that half and England really could've been 3 or 4 down at half time because of it. It's just one example but he's a painfully average goalkeeper at best in the PL aside from the rare streak of good performances
England have one hell of a team
Watching this stoned out me box
England has no manager
Portugal is criminally underrated. Bernardo, Joao cancelo(Barca I know)and Ruben Dias have arguably been city’s best players in the last 3 years. Joao Felix is one of the best wingers in Spain right now, Rafael Leao is the best player in Italy, Jota is legit at Liverpool, Vitinha is the best center mid in France, Nuno mendes and Raphael Gurierro are class left backs, Antonio Silva(Benfica) is wanted by all the best teams in the world at center half, Bruno Fernandes is a world class midfielder etc. they finally have an offensive minded coach in Roberto Martinez and they’re firing on all cylinders. Portugal can beat anyone no doubt.
Roy being this calm should be a crime
If England can’t win this time.. manager has to go.. for god sake
We won't win with Southgate pulling the strings. Don't get me wrong, the job he's done from what he started with is magnificent, but he's hit a wall that he cannot overcome. The World Cup exit against France was a clear sign it was time for Southgate to go. I'm afraid this sentimentality for Southgate will cost us another tournament that we could've potentially won.
English arrogance on display. You barely beat Malta and drew with North Macedonia. Serbia, Slovenia and Denmark can all turn up and do a number on England
James Maddison should start in the attacking midfield and Foden should be on the left
It will be two Brummies that deliver Euro glory for England.
Every tournament we have a “golden generation”. This is the year ! The only form guide is that England will flop.
Un popular opinion…..Switzerland and Hungary will go through from group A …Croatia will go out first round….turkey / Hungary will be the black horses…
Harry Maguire should be dropped Ben White should be inn
una coppa in faccia e' per sempre
Bellingham Rice and Foden in midfield not sure how it’s even a debate. Just because Jude is playing more advanced for Madrid doesn’t mean he has to play there for England, he’s more than capable of playing as that box to box midfielder beside a more defensive Declan Rice while Foden operates the number 10 position.
Behind the scenes stuff is amazing! That's the real podcast!
If you only look at individuals, the English golden generation had more superstars (Owen, Rooney, Becks, J. Cole, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand,…). But somehow, the current team seems more likely to win the Euro. They were so close last time.
It’s funny watching this knowing no part of Roy wants England to win the euros
Literally could listen to these lot talk football and tales all day
It's a joy to see the having such a laugh together.
Roy is just fantastic
France favourites but England have a great chance if have a fully fit squad. France depth far superior. Spain etc have a chance but I think England second faves.
Carra wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t scouse
Not only is this Englands best chance in terms of squad quality, but with the exception of France all the other European heavyweights have some of the weakest squads I've seen in my lifetime. Now or never.
The agenda that Pickford is only good for England is laughable. Yes he’s made a couple of mistakes for Everton but what keeper hasn’t for their club? he’s been just as good for Everton as he has for England
Gary has no idea, if you remember we played players out of position just to get players in rather than picking players in their correct positions is the only way to go.
The only problem England have is Southgate. He's too much of a coward to win a tournament. He bottled the final against Italy. He's simply not good enough to be the manager and is underachieving with these players.
All the rest of the teams don’t bother turning up 🙄
Rashford mentioned far too much for someone who's been shocking all season
No one believes Saka shouldn’t start ??
Foden instead
England always seem to fall short when it comes to playing the other top teams. They should score lots of goals by beating the likes of San Marino in the qualifiers but when it comes down to getting a result against top opposition they just can't get over the line and doesn't matter if they got to the final in last Euros, it's all about how you perform on the day, that is what counts more than anything. England's weakness right now is centre back & if either first choice centre back gets injured or suspended then that's going to be a problem as they don't have strength in depth for that position. Also need more than just Bellingham & Kane to help Engalnd win the tournament, EVERY player needs to be on top of their game.
Finals, semi finals and no trophies with those players? Almost unforgivable. If these lads were spanish, Italian, German, French, they would definitely have won something.
Another waste of 21 minutes. Great work Gary 🙄
Why is this England’s last chance? In 4 years we’ll be hosting it with saka, Bellingham and rice in their prime
Roy is an Irish legend but this shows how out of touch he is with the Irish game, the massive growth and competition in the academies in England has of course had an impact on the number of young Irish players coming through in England
You can't possibly doing the same thing for almost 6 years and expect to walk over everybody. If the England manager does nothing but copying the Premier Leagues managers, instead of coming up with something on his own, England will have a chance to win anything major. Even if they win, it'll look deflated.
My 2 cents: 3-1-4-1-1
3: Right: Reece James (Kieran Trippier) – Center: Jamaal Lascelles (Ben White) – Left: Ben Chillwell (Lewis Hall)
1: Declan Rice (Kalvin Phillips, Sean Longstaff)
4: Right to Left: Kyle Walker (Lewis Miley, Bukayo Saka) – Trent Alexander-Arnold (John Stones) – Jack Harrison (Carney Chukwuemeka) – Phil Foden (Anthony Gordon, Raheem Sterling)
1: Jude Bellingham (Rico Lewis, Harvey Barnes)
1: Harry Kane (Olie Watkins, Cole Palmers)
Since 2002, an Englishman's favourite saying every 2-4 years is "this is England's best chance".
The lads!
Not saying mbappe as a playing to bring in from another country is insane
Brilliant!
2.32 How many lemons is Wrighty using ?? He IS high maintenance!! 😂😂😂
This talk of it being the last chance and it being now or never I find ridiculous. The players are still young and we haven't even begun to get the best out of them yet because we have an incompetent manager. If the FA decide to replace Southgate with a successful manager, then we'll really see what this set of players can do.
How does Roy fancy Irelands chances?
