I think Upamecano's partner – Ibrahima Konate is better though, and Tomori is better than Upamecano too. This month, I think we should buy an experienced CB like Diego Godin and move on either one of Tomori or Rudiger.

I was checking Stats, Zouma actually has better stats than Dayot. Why not use Tomori and make him a better Upamecano!

Here's some defenders that I like. Gimenez, Romagnoli, Ben White, Dara O'Shea. Chelsea doesn't always have to go into Europe in order to find gems. I think O'Shea would be an excellent pick up at 21 years of age and for far less cost while far more familiarity playing in the EPL.
Same with Rice. Highly rated DCB, however will cost almost as it would cost to purchase Haaland. That makes no sense to me. There are other very good alternatives to Rice. Neves being a top one that I personally really like. Kamara another. You've mentioned Luiz before. N'Didi, Soumare also.
Sometimes the best deal isn't always the most expensive deal and sometimes it's right inside the Premier League. No need to look elsewhere.
