Not legend but 2nd best player for us
No doubt Sterling is a legend. Fantastic player that brings me and brings the country to the edge of our seats every time he receives the ball in the opposition half, something no other England player does. With Sterling on your side there is always hope as anything is possible. This is legendary stuff. After all he has achieved at 28 and there is still more to come with plenty of time left in his career to win the champions league. No other player in over 50 years has had the ability to almost single handedly drag England to the final showing just how difficult such an achievement is, and no other great England player has had to try to achieve what he has with the media continuously questioning his ability and brainwashing the country to do the same with negativity despite the facts, from medals to stats. At 27 Sterling had scored more goals as a winger than Ryan Giggs a Manchester United legend scored in his whole career, a goal rate competing with strikers, and we are not even talking about his high number of assists to go with that most strikers cannot compete with. Those replacing him in the England team who are praised by the media as his equal or better are not even fit to tie his shoe laces when you look at the facts and stats and could not even dream of it, yet at 28 he is only going to get better, pushing his records further and what better place to do that than at a London club, his home city. His stats will be incredible this season, just wait and see. I'm a Liverpool fan, but believe he has consistently been England's most important player for years and believe him to be an English football legend for taking us to our first final alone and giving me, and the whole country, the best moments I have ever had watching England play. One of the best prem wingers ever and not be a legend of course he is if people consider mahrez and mane as legends then of course sterling is. He’s got 4 prem’s and was crucial to the pep era.
