  1. –> As always, Tac, thanks for the weekly update. We appreciate you.
    –> Weekly CCV update:
    A) Midweek Celtic lost, 2-0, to Lazio to continue their terrible CL run over the last decade. However, CCV didn't really have a bad match. Obviously, the whole team could have done better, but I'd give CCV a 6 for the match.
    B) Yesterday, Celtic ultimately won 3-1, but CCV was not responsible for the goal. Once again, he had a typically solid match, with a solid 6.5-7.0 rating, maybe as high as 7.5 (after I see the stats).

  2. Robinson was voted Fulham’s MOTM. Hard to downplay his beast of a game. Not only incessantly attacking the space vacated by TAA but his defense was eye-catching, seemed like every other Liverpool incursion on his side, he would anticipate a pass and intercept it with ease. He was rightly highlighted on MOTD

  3. Thanks, Tac. It was a good week for the usmnt. Regarding Turner, Vlachodimas has allowed 7 goals with only a 4.5 xGA. His 2.5 xGA+/ is worst in the EPL. So maybe Turner will be getting another chance soon.

  4. Richards did OK. He was solid. He didn't look confident in his positioning or movement off the ball. He played very defensively. He wasn't involved too much on build-up from the back. When the other team were set in a block he acted as an outlet to swing the ball around, almost like a center back that was pushed higher. He only ventured further up field on occasion to press on defense. On defense he would drop back among the center backs when the other team pushed forward on the wings and would be in front of the center backs when the other team had the ball in the middle of the field.

He looked sort of big to me patrolling around the midfield. There are midfielders taller than he is, for example Zakaria, but usually only center forwards or center backs are as massive as he is.

  5. I saw the fulham game. It was crazy. Arob was the first full back who really went toe to toe with salah. He pretty much pocketed him. Also ream was amazing on the ball

  6. Pulisic is coming into his own putting skills he learned training for Tuchel and Potter's system into good effect. He's been playing a hybrid winger/10 role. His reception of the ball as he's running towards it and his ability to find space between the midfield and back line have improved. He often helps to move and distribute the ball but his wing play is more deadly than most good number 10s when he does receive the ball in that position. And in Italy the defenders are less apt than in England to try to run right over him when he touches the ball, and probably would be called for a foul if they did.

  7. is there any doubt that Pulisic is a gifted player? He's a notch below the top top tippy top forward players, but his touch and ability on the dribble has always been there. Meanwhile, with Leao out, he has been playing more centrally and he looks very comfortable there and is on the ball more often. And, frankly, with him and Weah and Balogun up top, we should play a lot more long ball route ! style because if any of the three get behind the defense, the opposition is going to poop in their pants. Meanwhile, did you note where Liverpool scored the tying and winning goals against Fulham?? Un-opposed shots from the top of the box. Everybody on Fulham's defense was basically crowding around the 6 yard box, only to turn around and, twice, watch a screamer go in from an unmarked player 20 yards from goal. As a coach would say, no depth on defense. Failure of players to gauge the situation and have someone ANYONE is a position to run at or challenge the shooter cost Fulham 3 points. I might say, "looking at you Tim Ream" but he wasn't the only one milling around down there.
