As an arsenal fan, I never understood why Rams was takin out over mistakes that on field players were equally at fault for. Okay I understand southhampton game, but what about every man city rams played last year. with that shocking officiating and tomiyasu, Xhaka & gabriel mistake leading to goal, with MULTIPLE sitters missed. Watch replays of that exact fixture, every mistake leading to goal was a defender or on field player. Yet raya costed us our 1st loss in both CL and prem for the reason we got him , distrubution, & ariel claming. makes no sense
Thats what I don't understand. Getting raya to cover up for rams mistakes in the field we literally got him for (ariel claiming, distrubution), makes mistakes in back to back games with 5 erros leading to goal already. Your going to tell me raya played good against chelsea, city, lens? Allison brings liv 2nd in the league with minor errors similar to ramsdale, yet the 5-7 points Rams costed us compared to the, 10+ points DEFENDERS costed us was enough to change the whole role of a GK and playstyle of a team? when last year was considered our 'Best Preforming/ball playing " styke of football? how in the world does that even get considered when ARS fans were talking about replacements for nkehtia, Xhaka, Holding, Ect. Yet the tiny factor of a GOALIE stat required immense change to the whole style & play style of Arsenal. I just find it to be a joke

Raya is the type of player like City's Ederson. If Arteta deploys the positional play as the team major tactics, Raya should be definitely be the no.1 goalkeeper at Arsenal in terms of his distribution ability and flow of the game.

Its crazy how people excuses raya's mistakes and say, well, ramsdale too make mistakes. Yes he does but not as bad nor as consistent as raya. Raya made mistakes against man city and it was oh, thats his first big match for a big team, hence the nerve, tgen he made another mistake against lens away, then Chelsea away, then Newcastle away, now conceding 2 cheap goals to Luton.
