So, there’s a pretty ugly story going on in Spanish football following the fallout of Real Madrid v Villarreal. It has led to Federico Valverde PUNCHING Álex Baena in the parking lot after the match. Here is he with a swollen cheekbone(you can see in this video). According to Valverde’s sides of the story, He and his wife almost lost their second child early on in the year, but everything, luckily, went well. However, in a Copa del Rey match between the sides, it has been claimed that Baena mocked Valverde and told him: “cry now that your kid’s not being born” Valverde kept that in the back of his mind. However, when they faced off again yesterday (Villarreal winning 3-2), it has been claimed that Baena again mocked Valverde and his kid.

So, Valverde waited for him in the parking lot and Punches Baena in the face. Baena denied this version of the story and said that “it’s completely false” and he don’t know why Valverde punced him in the face. (This is what he said on his Instagram story.)

The police are now investigating the incident. The decision is in the hands of Baena, if he decides to report, Valverde would face sporting sanction.
