They need to start bringing in refs from abroad. Get the best refs in and put pressure on the ones there to do better.
Just standard PL refereeing
For the lols
Just disgusting how poor the standard of officiating is in this league. Best league in the world with the worst referees I’ve ever seen
Week after week this is happening. Something needs to be done about the standard. Cant keep coming out every week saying everyone makes mistakes, its every weekend!!
Its not interesting. No amount of words hide the fact that the ref cheated. End of. Dermot is a liberal mouth piece. Sack the ref
You might get some sympathy if you make one mistake. Since the start of this season there has been a massive refereeing controversy almost every week, sometimes multiple in the same weekend. Get it right or get gone.
Would love to hear the coms between the linesman and the referee when blowing that whistle! Because surely you play on! We have VAR for this reason, to check the offside after playing on
Simon Hooper needs to be banned from refereeing. That’s two game costing decisions from him now.
He's acting in the heat of the moment. VAR, however, shouldn't make mistakes. Referees always have, and always will make mistakes.
Should we feel bad for Man City because I don't
There's no real excuse for it…he actually plays the advantage THEN brings it back after Man City have an advantage! Such a bad error
wew lad this was a fug up. But at least its not VAR so you can only say induvial error it happens and nothing could have been done. No measures could have changed this its just a dumb mistake and unlike other fug ups situations this season its one that i can understand as its a fast paced situation, no replay, no stupid angles does not have 5 professionals OKing it. Its just one guy who made a mistake.
Im not saying i understand why he did it, i just understand HOW the mistake happened.
Same guy cost Liverpool hmm prob a spurs fan xD
Sack hooper ! Disgrace of a referee!
Grealish should have carried on even if he heard the whistle
Realistically this show shouldn't even exist. Yet here we are watching it every single week…
Man City should just get over it.
That was the advice to Liverpool anyway.
There are only so many times we can just say "It's human error," yes mistakes are made, yes we are only human but we can't keep saying it's just human error let's move on, it starts to sound like an excuse the more we say it, if you can't handle the pressure of managing big games like this then don't bother
"In law he has done anything wrong, it's really unfortunate." Well, because the law practically says the refs are never wrong, they can even kick the ball into the net themselves.
It's a brain fart, pure and simple, he knows imeddiately after what he's done. Likely in his head he plays advantage for Haaland to go on a run, and when he sees something else happen he instinctively just blows. Refs have been getting a lot wrong, but I actually have sympathy for this one.
i don’t like when people hate on the refs like they’ve purposely tried to make the wrong decision, blame the people employing them cus if u were given a chance to ref at this level for loads of money u would, regardless of how good u r as a ref
proceeds not to explain "Why advantage wasn't given to Man City in DRAMATIC game against Spurs!"
we know do we, that he is not a spurs fan? and he can not bet can he?
no city player booked for hounding ref
