Nah sterlings prime was when he was like 23/24 in 2019. Hes should be getting in over rashford tho
When Saka's fitness is Questionable, this decision makes no sense to me.
The team will be better without Sterling
His prime was years ago. What he must have meant to say was something like, "the general thought out there is that 27/28 is the prime age for a winger/wide forward, and that's his age, so going on that, he's in what would historically be considered the prime period for a player such as him". Perhaps he did say that, I don't know, as I'm obviously not actually going to watch a Talksport video in which Gabby Agbonlahor is speaking.

Sterling isn't good enough. Gareth has better options , foden and grealish etc. Bowen is better than sterling too
It’s all good and well going on about this but he doesn’t really fit the team’s profile
Sterling needs to score more regularly for Chelsea. If he finishes the season on 15-20 goals, then Southgate would be stupid to ignore him.

Thanks for the positive facts on Sterling. None of the players Southgate is replacing him with can ever even dream of achieving the things you mentioned as they do not have the quality needed and that tells us everything, Simon Jordan included. His actions reduced Tottenham to 10 and then 9 men in their struggle to deal with him, as he was involved in both incidents and so was solely directly responsible for Tottenham being reduced to 9 men and the Tottenham collapse which is in itself phenomenal. Our 'Demolition Man' did it again to a team as he did to Burnley and has done to many others and will do it again. He did it at the Euros taking us to a final and we need him in the team doing it again. Like Sterling, Messi got Argentina close before finally getting Argentina over the line to winning a world cup and Sterling will do that for us to if given the chance. Just sad he has to do it with the media of his country on his back trying to drag him down, but Messi had nothing, but support from the Media as he fought to bring his country that cup. Peace and love
